Ariana Grande is coming! The former Nickelodeon star has announced the name and release date of her next studio album, and her fans are already going wild over the news. Grande’s most recent album is coming two years after she released the pop and R&B project “Eternal Sunshine,” which featured the hits “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends.” Amid that, Grande was also busy starring in the “Wicked” remake as Glinda alongside Cynthia Erivo.

Grande teased her next full-length project on Instagram. She shared a photo of the album’s cover art, which is a picture of her smiling brightly with her flowy, brown hair in front of her face.

In the post’s caption, Grande revealed the album’s name is “Petal” and will be released on July 31, 2026. According to a report from Deadline, Grande co-wrote the project and is the executive producer of the album alongside Ilya, a Swedish-Persian producer who has also teamed up with powerhouse musicians like Max Martin, Taylor Swift, and Sam Smith.

The official announcement of Grande’s next album comes two years after her last release, “Eternal Sunshine,” and several weeks after the actress shared behind-the-scenes photos of her in the studio.

Grande will also embark on a summer tour in the coming weeks, which will start in early June and wrap in September 2026.

While it’s unclear what’s next for Grande after the “Eternal Sunshine Tour” wraps, the superstar hinted some months ago that she’d take a break from her normal routine.

“The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,” Grande said in a previous interview. “I don’t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time. I’m going to give it my all, and it’s going to be beautiful. I think that’s why I’m doing it, because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah!'”

If anything is clear about Grande’s upcoming drop, it’s that the Arianators are as ready as they’ve ever been for the superstar’s next list of snappy tunes.

Former “Catfish” host Kamie Crawford commented, “I’m shaking,” while Grande’s brother, “Big Brother” alum Frankie, added, “I’m so proud of you. Can’t wait for the world to hear this. I love you.”

On X, formerly Twitter, the reaction was much of the same, with one user saying the “Focker-In-Law” star was “coming to save pop music.”

Another user chimed in, insisting that Grande’s talents are underappreciated in the industry. “She’s such an underrated singer, an absolute powerhouse in a tiny body, I love her so much.”

Grande Had Trouble Balancing Acting And Music

Throughout her career, Grande has been front and center, whether it be on Broadway, kids’ sitcoms, or feature films. For a while, the 32-year-old balanced both, often using her free time to record music as herself while juggling the demands of set life.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Grande opened up more about the complexity of that, calling that time in her life “quite crazy.”

“I remember before the red wig entered the chat, when it was actually dyed red, there was a time when I was performing on the weekends as Ariana Grande, and I would have to tone my hair brown on Friday night after we wrapped filming,” she said.

However, after her stint on Nickelodeon wrapped up, Grande could give more of herself to her music, which spawned the chart-topping albums “Dangerous Woman,” “Sweetener,” and “Thank U, Next.”

But the heart wants what the heart wants, according to Grande. Elsewhere during her interview, the Grammy winner said she’s since felt a longing to return to acting. “… I think my soul was aching for the acting piece,” she said. “I just missed it so much. I think the break really fed me and informed me in a huge way.”

Grande explained that portraying Glinda only made her miss the stage even more. “I learned a lot about my own craft. And I feel like it reconnected me to creating. It healed something that got disconnected along the way. The way that pop took over was something I wasn’t ready for,” she shared.
