Bravo’s “The Valley” has returned for its third season with Brittany Cartwright navigating the group without her estranged husband, Jax Taylor. Now, in a new interview with Andy Cohen, the 37-year-old is giving a coparenting update and also confirming that Taylor has gotten sober after a years-long battle with substance abuse.
Plus, she’s opening up about the new additions to the “Valley” cast.
Brittany Cartwright Says Things Are OK With Jax Taylor

Cartwright appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” on April 15 to promote “The Valley.” While on, Cohen asked for an update on her co-parenting journey with Taylor. For context, the two split in early 2024, with her then filing for divorce in August of that year. They share one young son.
In response, she said, “Jax is Jaxin.” After that, she opened up, saying, “Yeah, I mean, it’s not easy.” Cohen then noted that Cartwright had told him that Taylor had gotten sober, which she then confirmed on air. According to her, “Very happy for that. That is a great achievement. It’s just some people are never gonna change.”
She Says Jax Took Their Son To Hooters

Later in the clip, Cohen mentioned seeing online that Taylor had taken their son to a Hooters for his birthday. Cartwright shared her reaction, stating, “He did. That does not bother me at all. I wanted him to spend time with his son on his birthday.”
She also shared that she was inducted into the Hooters Hall of Fame, claiming, “I think people forget about that,” and that she hopes to own a location someday. Cartwright added, “I love Hooters.” As fans know, she worked at a Hooters in Kentucky before achieving reality TV fame.
“The Valley” Fans Are Weighing In

Fans of “The Valley” took to the comments section to offer their reaction to Cartwright’s remarks about Taylor. Surprisingly, many say he’s missed on the show, and some believe they will rekindle their romance.
One person wrote on TikTok, “I don’t know, I see her and Jax eventually getting back together.” Another fan said, “Jax is needed on the show, I don’t care.” A different social media user wrote, “Unironically love Jax Taylor.”
Another Bravo watcher stated, “The Valley is boring without Jax. He might have his own issues, but he is good TV. Brittany is annoying.”
Someone else defended Cartwright, proclaiming, “Damn the people in these comments are hateful. I think Brittany is a gem. She’s doing her best and figuring things out. It takes time. I think she’s a wonderful woman and mom.”
The Bravo Star Previously Said They’re Working On Coparenting

Cartwright interviewed with US Weekly in April 2026. Regarding where she stands with Taylor, she said, “We’re working on the coparenting situation. We’re trying to make it better. It’s not easy. There’s just so many different things that go into it, where it’s not the best, but it is better than it was two years ago. That’s a plus.”
From there, she opened up about where they are in their divorce. According to her, “We’re working on getting the house appraised,” before saying she’s hopeful to “get another date set” and that “Everything should be good to go after that.”
Cartwright also plans to remain in the home. She told the outlet, “That’s my house. [I] already moved Cruz around for seven months. He loves that place.”
The “Valley” star went on, “I love that house. I’ve been taking care of everything by myself for a very long time now, so I’m proud of that. And yeah, that’s my house.”
Brittany Also Discussed ‘The Valley’

Season three of “The Valley” premiered on Bravo on April 1. This time, the cast includes “Vanderpump Rules” alums Tom Schwartz and Lala Kent. Notably, their casting was confirmed at BravoCon 2025. While on “Watch What Happens Live,” Cartwright was asked about them joining.
She said, “Oh, I love them. I think they are a great addition. They’ve obviously been dear friends and real friends of ours for years and years.” Cartwright also shared that she previously lived down the hall from Schwartz “for so long” and that Kent was in her wedding.
Additionally, Cartwright said it “makes sense” that they would join the show’s main cast members, calling it “a new perspective.”
