Brooke Hogan Clarifies Why She Is Not Featured In Hulk Hogan’s Netflix Documentary

In an interview with Page Six, Brooke Hogan explained why she chose not to appear in the Netflix documentary chronicling the life and death of her father, wrestler Hulk Hogan.
“No matter how much people have either dogged my dad or loved my dad, if he calls and says, ‘Hey, there’s an opportunity for you to be on TV,’ everybody’s tune changes real quick,” she told the outlet. “All of a sudden they’re on Team Hogan. I didn’t want to be in the company of people that I’ve seen switch up.”
Her mother Linda Hogan, who she is estranged from, and her younger brother Nick Hogan, are both included in the documentary. The Hogan family’s life was previously documented on the VH1 reality series, “Hogan Knows Best.”
She Recently Shared Her Regret About Removing Herself From Her Father’s Will

“I regret that decision,” she revealed. “Not because of the money, I’ve never been about the money, but because now I don’t have a seat at the table.”
Brooke also shared that her decision was based on fearing for her safety due to the people her father had in his inner circle, which she previously stated was a reason for their estrangement.
Hogan Spoke About Taking A Break From Her Father In The Years Before His Death

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on April 13, Brooke opened up about how Hulk’s inner circle led her to decide to distance herself from her father two years before his death.
“He said, ‘You go this way, I go that way,’” she told the outlet. “That hurt. I could see what was happening with him with the people around him. I could also see his potential and see how life could be. And he just wasn’t there. I was pregnant with my twins. I was newly married. I just had to take a break.”
Brooke continued, adding: “I don’t know if we would have ever reconnected, even if he were alive, because of the mindset he was in. He would have had to have a change of mindset and a change of company. I don’t know if he was there. I don’t know if he was willing to do that.”
The Former Reality Star Also Skipped Hulk Hogan’s Funeral

In a lengthy Instagram post, Brooke explained her decision not to attend her father’s funeral, noting that Hulk “hated the morbidity of funerals,” and she was sure he did not want one.
“My Dearest Daddy, You were my everything, and I will always be your girl,” her message read. “I am PROUD to be your daughter—for all the love, light, and goodness you brought into this world. Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply.”
“Our bond is eternal. That truth brings me comfort and hope, even in your absence. I love you more than all the stars in the sky, 4LifeAfterLife. Forever yours, Brooke,” she added.
She also shared that she appreciated the events and celebrations organized to honor him, but she chose to do so privately.
Brooke Hogan Released Music About Her Late Father Earlier This Year

On March 31, Brooke released a new song called “Wanna Go Back,” which captures the loss of losing her father.
A clip of the song’s mournful lyrics was posted on Instagram.
“I don’t wanna go back, ’cause you were my world, and I was your girl,” she sings. “Daddy, you lying there made a fool out of me…what you did to me.”
