On February 13, Chef Ramsay sat down with The Sun UK to promote his upcoming Netflix reality series, "Being Gordon Ramsay." Before the end of the interview, journalist Clemmie Moodie asked Ramsay about his thoughts on the ongoing drama surrounding his close friends, the Beckhams.

Ramsay, who has been close friends with the Beckhams for more than two decades, said what they are going through is "a very difficult situation," acknowledging that the couple is upset, especially Victoria.

"I've seen firsthand how good parents they are. David as a dad is just incredible. They've both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they've got Brooklyn out of the sh-t," he added.

In a lengthy Instagram Stories post in January, Brooklyn accused his parents of undermining his marriage to his wife, Nicola Peltz, as well as controlling public narratives to protect the family's image, as previously reported by The Blast. "I do not want to reconcile with my family," the 26-year-old wrote.

Ramsay shared his thoughts about Brooklyn and his wife, saying that he is "infatuated." "It's hard, isn't it, when you're infatuated? Love is blind. It's easy to get up on that rollercoaster and get carried away," he explained.

The Michelin-starred chef also said that he respects Brooklyn's determination to be independent. "He's desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It's such a good thing to do," he added.

Brooklyn distanced himself from several people and unfollowed some friends and family on social media shortly after speaking about the rift. However, Ramsay was not one of those he unfollowed. In fact, Chef Ramsay revealed that he had been in contact with Brooklyn.

"Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him -- his heart is incredible," Ramsay noted.

However, the chef is positive that wounds will heal over time and Brooklyn will realize just how important it is to have his parents in his life.

Although Ramsay respects Brooklyn's decision to "forge his own way," he reminded him where he came from, adding that there will come a time when his parents will no longer be around.

"I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself. And remember: you're half mum, half dad. And you're an amazing young man. But, boy, they've done more for you than anyone did in your entire life," he explained.

Ramsay and his wife, Tana, witnessed the eldest of the Beckham siblings get married in 2022. One of Brooklyn's allegations was that his mother hijacked what was supposed to be his first dance with his wife and danced "inappropriately" on him.

In Ramsay's opinion, nothing "salacious" and "inappropriate" happened at the event, insisting that everyone was just dancing and having fun. When Moodie directly asked if Victoria grinded on her son, the chef answered with a swift, "No! Nothing of the sort. It was fun."

Per The Blast, DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding, backed Brooklyn's claim, describing the situation as "awkward." Before the first dance, singer Marc Anthony called for "the most beautiful woman in the room" to come forward and proceeded to call Victoria's name.

"This is all about how Brooklyn feels. If he feels that it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward," he explained. However, he did say that "no slut dropping" happened, referring to a dance move where one drops to the floor on a squat.

Ramsay knows what it's like to have family issues, as he had prior problems with his in-laws, Tana's father, Chris Hutcheson, and her two brothers, Adam and Chris Jr. In 2017, Chris spent time in jail for colluding with his two sons to hack into Ramsay's emails to get financial information, per The Guardian.

According to the chef, he has moved on from that, saying, "Tana and I sat them down, and we buried the hatchet with her parents. It's family, it's what you do."

The chef believes the same can happen with the Beckhams, stating, "Time's going to be the best healer, and David will absolutely get that relationship back on track."
