According to a new report from PEOPLE, Victoria Police confirmed on April 15 that the “Roar” singer was the subject of an investigation for an alleged assault that happened in 2010.

“Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD. As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage,” a Victoria Police spokesperson shared about the matter.

The investigation into Perry follows Rose’s series of shocking allegations against her on social media. According to The Blast, the “Orange Is The New Black” actress said Perry “sexually assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne.”

Her post was in response to media outlets sharing Perry’s opinion on Justin Bieber’s widely-discussed Coachella set. “Who gives a sh-t what she thinks,” Rose finished.

Rose went on to say that the alleged assault wound up turning into a “funny little drunk story” because she was unable to truly process her feelings.

Rose went on to say that Perry allegedly offered to help her obtain her United States visa, ultimately prompting her to stay quiet for even longer.

In a separate post, Rose said she was in her early 20s when the alleged assault occurred, adding that she’s spent the last 20 years finding the strength to speak about it.

Another post from Rose detailed the alleged assault. According to Rose, Perry allegedly “pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting v–ina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.”

Perry’s team denied the claims, labeling them “categorically false” and “dangerous, reckless lies.”

Her team continued, “Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

Rose revealed days later that she filed formal police reports, which therefore bar her from speaking about the matter any further.

“It’s going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people’s experiences, but I’m not,” Rose said, explaining that authorities asked her to remain silent moving forward.

Social media users have been reacting to the news that Perry is under investigation and are slamming the mother of one for her lack of “boundaries.”

One Reddit user asked why she allegedly felt the need to touch another person’s private areas. “Does it make her feel powerful?” they continued.

Another user wrote, “I know I shouldn’t be surprised anymore by all the batsh-t things celebrities do, but d-mn.”

“Katy Perry’s abuse has been well documented and recorded over the years,” a third said. “Ruby is not the first, and the people mocking her should be ashamed.”

And that’s not all. A fourth added, “Katy being a sex pest is totally unsurprising.”

Rose isn’t the only celebrity who has leveled surprising allegations against Perry, according to Parade.

In 2014, “Pitch Perfect” star Anna Kendrick opened up about a “weird” encounter she had with the singer during a night out.

“Katy Perry finger-banged my cleavage. It was a weird night,” Kendrick claimed, adding, “[Katy Perry] is very mature.”
