Offset’s recent shooting in Florida has quickly sparked confusion and online speculation, with fellow rapper Lil Tjay unexpectedly pulled into the narrative. 

As details of the incident continue to unfold, rumors have begun circulating about possible involvement, prompting a swift response from Tjay’s legal team. 

While Offset continues to recover, authorities are still investigating what led to the incident, and those close to the situation are working to separate fact from fiction.

Offset Shot In Florida As Police Confirm Active Investigation

Offset was injured in a shooting that took place outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday evening. 

The incident happened near the valet area shortly after 7 p.m., drawing an immediate response from law enforcement.

A representative for the rapper confirmed he had been hospitalized following the incident, stating per The Blast, “He is stable and being closely monitored,” while receiving treatment. Authorities also verified that the injuries sustained were not life-threatening.

Police shared that officers were already nearby when the situation unfolded and were able to respond quickly. 

In their statement, they noted that two individuals were detained and that the investigation remains ongoing. 

Officials also emphasized that the scene has been secured and that there is no danger to the public.

Footage from the scene later surfaced online, showing officers restraining individuals near the valet stand as tensions escalated in the aftermath of the shooting.

Lil Tjay Denies Any Involvement In Offset Shooting Rumors

Lil Tjay’s name began circulating online shortly after news of the shooting broke, but his attorney quickly shut down the claims. 

In a statement addressing the speculation shared on Instagram, his legal team made it clear he had no connection to the incident.

“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which [resulted] in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset,” attorney Dawn M. Florio said.

She further clarified that “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting,” stressing that any reports suggesting otherwise were inaccurate. 

The statement also urged the public to verify information before spreading it, highlighting how quickly misinformation can spread online.

Offset Was Interacting With Fans Moments Before Shooting

In the moments leading up to the shooting, Offset appeared relaxed and engaged with fans outside the venue. 

Photos taken shortly before the incident showed him smiling, unaware of what would happen next.

Witnesses said he had been near the entrance, looking toward the valet area while on a phone call when fans approached him. 

He reportedly greeted them warmly, shaking hands and stopping to take photos.

The interaction appeared friendly and routine, making the sudden violence that followed even more alarming. 

Videos captured afterward showed officers struggling to control the situation, with one individual held on the ground while another resisted police efforts.

The incident comes years after the loss of Offset’s fellow Migos member Takeoff, who was shot and killed in 2022. 

The case led to the arrest of Patrick Xavier Clark, who has denied responsibility, though prosecutors claim evidence places him at the scene. His trial is expected to begin in November after years of multiple delays.

Takeoff’s death marked a turning point for the group, ultimately leading to Migos disbanding as members pursued solo careers. 

Offset continued releasing music, including “Father of 4” and “Set It Off,” the latter arriving after a delay tied to the tragedy.

In 2025, he released “Kiari,” followed by a collaborative project, “Haunted by Fame,” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again, NoCap, and Lil Dump.

In November 2025, Cardi B’s drama with Offset intensified after she claimed her life was in danger, prompting a swift response from the rapper, who insisted the situation had been blown out of proportion due to false narratives. 

As The Blast shared, the controversy began when a viral post, allegedly from Offset, suggested he could be the father of Cardi B’s fourth child, whom she shares with NFL star Stefon Diggs, sparking online chaos. 

Cardi B reacted emotionally, saying she felt “harassed and threatened” and warning that the situation was no longer a joke.  

However, Offset’s camp quickly pushed back, stating that the circulating post was completely fabricated and accusing Cardi B of reacting to misinformation, which only escalated the drama.
