Lori Loughlin‘s former co-star Jodie Sweetin threw major shade at her estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli, crediting her new look to the fact that she dropped the “dead weight.”

The actress has looked shockingly youthful in recent times, with reports suggesting that she’s slowly putting herself back out and is ready to date again.

Over the weekend, Lori Loughlin joined some of her “Full House” co-stars to celebrate what would have been Bob Saget‘s 70th birthday.

Lori Loughlin’s former “Full House” co-star Jodie Sweetin just made it clear whose side she is taking in the actress’s ongoing split from Mossimo Giannulli.

Speaking to Us Weekly on Wednesday, May 20, at The Abbey’s 35th anniversary party in West Hollywood, Sweetin gushed about her former co-star’s recent public appearances and refreshed post-split look, claiming she looks good because she dropped her “dead weight.”

“She looks gorgeous! I haven’t seen her in a while, but I’m sure she looks absolutely amazing,” Sweetin said, referring to Loughlin’s recent red carpet outings.

She then tossed a heavy dose of not-so-subtle shade directly at Giannulli, adding, “There’s nothing like dropping some dead weight to get you back out there looking cute. Her and [daughter] Olivia look exactly the same. And you know what? Bless.”

Loughlin has had some major transformations in the past couple of months, leaving fans to speculate that she probably went under the knife.

In a recent appearance alongside her daughter, Olivia Jade, she looked so young in her revenge glittery gown that netizens thought they were literally sisters.

Her glow up seems to have made her fashion designer ex come to realize just what he’s missing, as a source told Star Magazine that he has been lighting up her phone with “flirty texts” after she started coming out again.

“He’s been sending flirty texts and telling her she looks incredible,” the insider said. “Mossimo went so far as to suggest they go on a date together for old time’s sake.”

Despite Mossimo’s alleged flirty text messages, the insider noted that Loughlin is not willing to go back to him.

Her friends are also reportedly encouraging her to just relax and enjoy this new phase of her life while keeping her distance from him.

“While his flattery is a big boost for Lori’s self-esteem, he’s wasting his time,” the insider said. “She has zero interest in turning back the clock.”

“Lori and Mossimo actually talk quite a lot,” they continued. “She’s forgiven him for the most part, which is pretty big of her, given the hell he put her through.”

Loughlin and Giannulli shocked fans when they announced last year that they were separating after nearly 30 years of marriage.

Reports at the time claimed the “When Calls The Heart” actress found “incriminating” text messages on his phone that damaged her trust in him.

The pair, who share daughters Bella Rose and Olivia Jade, went through a rough patch in their marriage, most notably serving prison time in 2020 for their involvement in the college admissions scandal, where they paid $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters into the University of Southern California.

They initially put up a united front following their release from jail, but sources claim their marriage never recovered from it.

“The school scandal was a turning point, and they never really connected or recovered their relationship after that,” an insider told Page Six, adding that Loughlin felt he “got her involved” in the situation.

“She didn’t fully blame him, but he spearheaded it,” the source continued, adding that the actress “never fully forgave him and never fully got over it.”

The Actress Is Ready To Move On From The Designer

Loughlin will likely mingle if Mr. Right strolls by, as her friends have been encouraging her to go out, meet new people, and enjoy the dating scene.

According to Us Weekly, sources confirmed that she’s ready to move on and has been “putting herself back out there … and is dating again,” but isn’t quite in a rush as she’s “just having fun and keeping things light and casual.”

She seems to have done the work and is in a better place mentally, with the source saying that she “feels like she got her spark back” after her split from Giannulli.

“[She] is in such a good headspace lately,” the source said. “The dust has settled, and she’s really leaning into this season of life, enjoying her independence, spending a lot of time with her girls, and having fun.”
