Melissa McCarthy appeared radiant in her noticeably slimmer frame during a recent outing in New York.
The movie star has been on a gradual weight-loss journey for several years. Over that time, she is reported to have lost almost 100 pounds.
Amid her weight loss journey, Melissa McCarthy has had the support of her husband, whom she once credited for making her feel comfortable in her skin.
The Actress Wore A Statement Outfit For The Appearance

Melissa McCarthy turned heads with her look during her visit to NYC for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Having reportedly lost between 75 and 95 pounds in recent years, the actress looked noticeably slimmer as she stepped out in a low-cut black satin dress, which fell just above her uniquely designed shoes.
She layered the look with a vibrant blue floral coat of a similar length that added a bold pop of color to the ensemble.
McCarthy completed the outfit with a tote bag that perfectly matched the statement coat.
Keeping things sleek, McCarthy pulled her brunette hair back with added volume through the crown to give off a retro finish.
She also amped up her face with a monochromatic, muted-brown makeup palette and completed the look with sparkling chandelier drop earrings.

The appearance comes nearly two months after McCarthy returned to "Saturday Night Live."
At the time, the 54-year-old actress took on hosting duties in a dark velvet jumpsuit that hugged her figure and highlighted her cleavage.
It marked her sixth time hosting the iconic show, and while the milestone itself was noteworthy, much of the audience's attention focused on her visible weight loss.
"I'm really impressed by Melissa's weight loss progress," a netizen remarked while another wrote, "So Glad to see Melissa McCarthy back on the 'SNL' Stage, and She Looks Fabulous!"
Another added, "Melissa McCarthy looks so good on 'SNL' rn," and a fourth user commented, "Melissa McCarthy looks GOOD!!!! And remains the modern queen of physical comedy, we love to see it."
One more wrote about the actress, "She's lost some good weight, too! Good on ya, Melissa!"
Melissa McCarthy Has Been Open About Her Weight Loss Transformation
Since her weight loss journey became obvious, McCarthy has faced claims of using Ozempic like other stars have done to help them achieve a slimmer look.
In response, the actress has emphasized repeatedly that the change is due to lifestyle changes and exercise, which includes pilates and boxing.
She has also been open about the emotional aspect of her transformation, including sharing with People Magazine in 2023 the effects of an all-liquid diet she attempted.
"I'd never do that again. I felt starved and crazy half the time," the actress said about the diet.
The Actress Revealed She Made Progress After She 'Stopped' Worrying About Her Weight
While the diet led to her losing 70 pounds, it was obviously far from being sustainable. Eventually, McCarthy said she realized that she needed to stop overanalyzing her weight if she wanted results.
"I finally said [to myself], 'Oh for God sakes, stop worrying about it, and it may be the best thing I've ever done," the actress said during an appearance on CBS. "I truly stopped worrying about [my weight]."
She added, "I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-doing anything…I just stopped constantly being worried about it, and I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked."
Melissa McCarthy's Husband Helped Her Feel Comfortable In Her Own Skin
Playing a key role in McCarthy's wellness journey is her husband, Ben Falcone, to whom she has been married for over 20 years.
In a 2023 interview with People magazine, the actress shared that he helped her feel confident in her own skin, especially amid online trolling about her weight.
"Because he's so constantly loving and kind. And funny and the weirdest human I know, to be honest," she said of her husband at the time.
The mother of two added, "And somewhere in my 30s, I was like 'I'm okay with who I am.' And if someone wasn't thrilled with that, that's okay too. At some point, I was like, 'They're not all going to like you.' You have to learn that the hard way, but it's a good [lesson]."
