Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice continue to step back from royal life, keeping their distance from the public spotlight.
In the aftermath of their father, ex-Prince Andrew‘s, fallout from the monarchy over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the sisters have gradually withdrawn from high-profile appearances.
They have notably skipped several key royal gatherings and are now expected to sit out upcoming Easter celebrations as well.
A Royal Easter Without Princess Eugenie And Princess Beatrice

In line with tradition, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, alongside members of the royal family, will attend the Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on Easter Sunday.
However, Eugenie and Beatrice won’t be part of the occasion. With the King’s approval, the sisters have made alternative plans, according to People Magazine.
Their decision comes in the wake of renewed scrutiny surrounding the former Duke of York, including his reported February 19 arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Authorities are said to be examining claims that, during his tenure as the UK’s trade envoy between 2001 and 2011, the 66-year-old disgraced royal shared confidential information with Epstein.
In addition to missing out on the Easter gathering, the sisters are also expected to skip Royal Ascot, as revealed by an insider connected to the event.
“I’ve spoken to my friend who works at Ascot, and they said the girls have been told they can’t be there this year,” the source said.
The Princesses Reportedly Plan To Spend More Time Away as Pressure Mounts

With their continued withdrawal from major engagements, royal commentators have weighed in on the sisters’ reduced visibility.
As reported by The Blast, experts Phil Dampier and Ingrid Seward suggest that while Beatrice and Eugenie are still considered part of the royal family, they are currently being kept away because of their connections to Andrew.
According to the experts, their presence at big events could draw unwanted attention and reignite public criticism at a time when the monarchy is trying to maintain stability and protect its image. Some observers believe the absence could stretch through much of the year.
For Princess Beatrice, the emotional toll of her father’s fallout has reportedly left her considering a move to the U.S.
Sources claim the move could give Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi some distance from the constant media attention in the UK.
Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice Put Up A United Front At the Last Christmas Gathering

Eugenie and Beatrice’s recent retreat from public life marks a noticeable shift from their reappearance during last year’s Christmas celebrations.
As The Blast reported, last December, the sisters were seen on December 25 attending the traditional service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, alongside other members of the royal family.
Eugenie, accompanied by her husband Jack Brooksbank, walked directly behind Princess Anne, who followed closely after King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Meanwhile, Beatrice was seen at the rear of the procession with her husband. At the end of the service, the siblings were seen posing together and presenting a united front despite the overwhelming controversies surrounding their dad.
How The Princess Eugenie And Princess Beatrice Felt ‘Betrayed’ By Dad

As Andrew’s woes continued to mount, even after his arrest, The Blast reported that insiders revealed it made his daughters reassess the past and see their parents’ actions in a new light.
“They’re also putting pieces of the puzzle together in real time and realizing they may have been used,” the insider said. “That has to feel like a complete betrayal. They’re heartbroken.”
They further described the moment of introspection as “incredibly painful” for the girls and noted that despite it all, Eugenie’s and Beatrice’s bond with their parents has not completely changed.
Andrew’s Daughters Embarrassed By Epstein-Related Revelations

The girls have since expressed disappointment at their dad’s connection with the disgraced financier.
When materials released from Epstein-related documents reportedly included images of Andrew kneeling over a girl and messages from their mother, Sarah Ferguson, to Epstein, they reacted.
“They are aghast at what they’ve read,” one insider said of the sisters’ feelings, per The Blast. “They are mortified by the emails their mother sent to Epstein. It’s deeply embarrassing for them.”
