“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt has been booked and busy since joining the cast of the wildly popular Hulu reality series. But could her time on the show be coming to an end? In a new interview, the TV personality-turned-Broadway star teased a potential exit, saying she was ready to challenge herself in new ways.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Leavitt discussed whether she’d ever leave the reality series that made her a household name.
“Well, I’m figuring it out in real time,” she said. “We’re figuring it out together, but it feels like that’s the trajectory of where it’s going.”
Leavitt is one of the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” breakout stars, booking spots on “Dancing With the Stars” and as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” on Broadway.
While Leavitt is thankful to Hulu and the show for the multitude of opportunities, the mother of three implied that she’s ready for the next thing.
“But again, I wouldn’t be where I am without it, but it feels like it’s time to challenge myself in other ways and fulfill these dreams and passions that I’ve been trying to get even before the show,” she stated.
Could Whitney Leavitt See Herself On ‘The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City’?
If Leavitt does decide to leave “Secret Lives,” could she make an appearance on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City”?
“No,” Leavitt said firmly. “You know, before [I started] reality TV, I didn’t really watch reality TV. It’s a world that’s foreign to me, so it’s kind of ironic that that was my start in this entertainment world in Hollywood. No, I don’t think I would ever do that.”
Leavitt went on to say that even if she departed “Secret Lives,” she wouldn’t rule the show out forever.
“Oh, I mean, I don’t ever close a door. I’m not closing it, but yeah, I don’t see myself being on a Real Housewives show,” she said.
‘RHOSLC’ Star Says Her Show Isn’t In Competition With ‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’

“RHOSLC” star Heather Gay previously discussed the two Utah-based reality shows, according to The Blast, and insisted they weren’t competing with each other.
“Truly, we’re all each other’s got, and so we really need to champion each other,” she said. “There are not a lot of women business owners and thriving, outspoken, beautiful, strong women, and I think they represent all of that. I’m proud they’re calling themselves Mormon wives. I identify with it.”
Whitney Leavitt Says She’s ‘Always Been a Performer’

Elsewhere during the interview with THR, Leavitt opened up about receiving the opportunity to see her name under the bright lights on Broadway. But her big break on the stage wasn’t by chance, she said.
“What I can say is I’ve always been a performer, and Secret Lives just kind of stumbled into my life,” she said.
Leavitt went on to say that before the show, she was traveling to Los Angeles to audition for shows and taking acting classes.
“Then I got this reality [TV] opportunity, and I took it. But even during that time of still auditioning, my passion is film. I love entertaining, I love acting, so that’s what I can tease. Hopefully more films you’ll see me in,” she said.
Drama On The Set Of ‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’

Even though season 4 of “Secret Lives” just premiered on Hulu, the cast is already in production for season 5. Well, at least, they were.
According to TMZ, production on season 5 of “Secret Lives” has hit a bump in the road. Reports claim that an alleged blowup between star Taylor Frankie Paul and her child’s father, Dakota Mortensen, has caused cameras to stop rolling.
While it’s still unclear what actually occurred, a source close to the show claimed the alleged altercation was so explosive that producers were forced to shut things down.
For those who may be unfamiliar, “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” aired on Hulu in September 2024 and quickly became the streaming giant’s most-watched unscripted premiere of the year.
The second season was released in May 2025, followed by the third in November of that year. Season 4 became available to view in March 2026 and explores the “shifting alliances and the strange new world of fame,” according to a press release from Disney+.
