Taylor Frankie Paul‘s recent legal victory could be exactly what her show, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” needed to resume filming. A new report says Hulu could be getting closer to allowing cameras to begin rolling again after the show’s main star was involved in another alleged domestic dispute with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
Hulu May Resume Filming ‘Mormon Wives’ After Learning Taylor Frankie Paul Will Not Be Prosecuted In Domestic Violence Case

According to a previous report from The Blast, Salt Lake City prosecutors declined to press charges on Paul after her ex, Mortensen, claimed he was the victim of domestic violence.
The initial allegations, which were made to police officers in February 2026, sidelined production on season 5 of the Hulu reality series.
Things could be on the come-up, however, as TMZ reported that Paul’s legal victory could be exactly what’s needed to push the show forward.
A source close to the show told the outlet that other matters still need to be addressed, but the latest decision was a “major development.”
Taylor Frankie Paul Is Reportedly Focused On Her Children Amid The Chaos

The insider went on to say that Paul’s primary focus is on her children amid her ongoing battle with Mortensen.
As reported by The Blast, Hulu shut down production on the current season of “SLOMW” after allegations of domestic violence surfaced.
“They are not filming,” a source shared. “Taylor [Frankie Paul] has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”
Following the news, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed there was an open “domestic assault investigation” against Paul and Mortensen. They explained that both parties made allegations against each other and claimed the incident occurred in late February 2026.
Taylor Frankie Paul Seen Hitting Her Ex-Boyfriend In Shocking Video Released During ‘SLOMW’ Shutdown

Shortly after production was paused on the explosive reality series, a video showing Paul attacking Mortensen during a 2023 incident was shared online.
In the video, Paul strikes Mortensen before pulling his hair. “This is called physical abuse. This is all you do,” Mortensen said in the video. “It’s the only thing you know how to do is hurt me. You think this is OK? It’s not OK. Holy sh-t.”
The video also shows Paul launching two heavy metal chairs at Mortensen, one of which later hit her 5-year-old daughter in the head.
The video’s release prompted a flurry of backlash, prompting ABC and Disney to take action, ultimately resulting in the cancellation of her season of “The Bachelorette.”
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette, [starring Paul], at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” the company said in a statement.
Paul Speaks Out About The Alleged ‘Extensive Mental And Physical Abuse’ She’s Suffered While In A Relationship With Mortensen

Paul’s spokesperson shared a statement after her season of “The Bachelorette” was pulled from the schedule, saying the reality star was “grateful” for the support.
Elsewhere in the statement, they alleged that Paul had been “silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation” for years before saying she’s finally “gaining the strength to face her accuser” head-on.
“There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story,” Paul’s rep added.
Hulu Takes Action Against Mortensen

Mortensen is also facing consequences, according to The Blast. Due to the nature of the allegations surrounding him and Paul, Hulu edited the 33-year-old out of the upcoming season of “Vanderpump Villa,” which he filmed with fellow DadTok stars Jordan Ngatikaura, Zac Affleck, Jacob Neeley, Jace Terry, and Chase McWhorter.
Mortensen addressed the headlines about him and his ex prior to Hulu’s decision, sharing a sentiment similar to hers. “I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same,” he told PEOPLE.
