Milky (John Mielke - The Milkman) owns and operates BTR which he launched officially in January 2015.

Born and raised in Ottawa, he was first heard on air at CHUO FM at the age of 13!
His professional career took him to CIGL FM Belleville, CHXL FM Brockville, and was an sales account manager for CHEQ & CJET Smiths Falls.
In 1992 he was hired at KOOL FM Ottawa, and remained with the station for over 23 years, including it's incarnation as BOB FM.

John has been a professor at Algonquin College, teaching on air performance in the radio broadcasting program, and launched Canada's most respected website for radio industry employment, which he continues to maintain today!

Ironically Milkman hosted the first ever music countdown show heard exclusively on the internet - The Weekly Web 50 - in 1996.   Today, he's the host of BTR's One & Only Countdown heard here Saturday and Sunday

Additionally, Mielke's been featured on The World Chart Show as a Canadian Music Correspondent, and has been a guest on The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40!

He was heard around the world as one of two PA announcers for the NHL All Star Game in Ottawa, has emceed high profile events including as host in the Team Canada Tent at the World Junior Hockey Championships, and also spent 2 seasons as the Rough Rider mascot.

A professional voice over talent, Mielke is the voice of many radio stations in Canada and around the world, including stations on the ABC Radio Network.  He has been heard on commercials airing on CTV, CBC, Global, NBS, CBS, ABC and Fox!
