A viral social media post targeting the Beckham family took an unexpected turn this week when Cruz Beckham appeared to respond to a user who called him and his siblings “ugly.”
The exchange comes amid ongoing drama surrounding David and Victoria Beckham‘s family, following the eldest son, Brooklyn, and his very public estrangement from his parents and siblings.
Cruz has previously addressed rumors about the family, and now he appears to have extended an olive branch to his estranged brother by sharing a throwback photo of Brooklyn.

Cruz Beckham removed all filters during a recent social media interaction with a troll.
In a post that seemingly originated on X but was reposted by a meme account on Instagram, a social media user shared a throwback clip of his parents when they first got together and captioned it, “It’s bizarre that a couple with such an insanely stunning face card only ended up with ugly kids.”
The post went viral on X and garnered more than 25,000 likes on Instagram. Eagle-eyed fans then noticed that Cruz appeared to react, sharing a popular reaction meme of comedian Druski looking confused while pointing at himself.
Cruz Beckham Keeps Getting Dragged Into Family Drama

Cruz has been drawn into several such social media dramas in recent times. Last year, he seemingly took a jab at his estranged elder brother Brooklyn, who has become a laughing stock in pop circles for his various short-lived careers.
At the time, the 21-year-old singer shared a video of himself singing to TikTok, but a fan commented, “going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something.”
“Wrong brother mate,” Cruz responded, per BuzzFeed.
He’s also the only Beckham who has spoken up on the drama surrounding their family, particularly reports suggesting Brooklyn was upset about the relationship between middle son Romeo and Kim Turnbull, who’s said to be his ex.
“Brooklyn and Kim never dated,” Cruz clarified.
Even when reports emerged that their parents had unfollowed Brooklyn, he addressed the chatter, saying, “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
Inside The Beckham Family’s Rift With Brooklyn

The Beckham family has made headlines for strained ties between Brooklyn and other family members following his wedding to Nicola Peltz.
The 27-year-old model has missed out on several family milestones and continues to distance himself from his parents after accusing them of trying to sabotage his marriage with Peltz.
Earlier this year, he made a series of posts announcing that he was cutting ties with them and wasn’t interested in mending things, per PEOPLE.
“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” Brooklyn wrote. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled; I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Book Appears To Back One Of Brooklyn Beckham’s Claims

Part of what Brooklyn also accused his parents of was placing loyalty to the Beckham brand far above family ties or the needs of individual members.
That reality was laid bare in a book that claims Cruz wanted to forge his musical career without the help of “Brand Beckham,” but Victoria objected.
Cruz and his band, The Breakers, were initially signed to TaP Management, a label that has managed Dua Lipa and Ellie Goulding. However, he had to walk away because Victoria didn’t like that they wanted him to distance himself from the family name and identity.
In her new book, Brand Beckham: The Fame. The Feuds. The Fallout, Alison Boshoff claims the fashionista upstaged the plans by sharing a video of him performing at family friend Guy Ritchie’s pub.
“The whole point was to distance him from being Posh Spice’s baby boy – she scuppered it,” a source told the author.
Cruz Beckham Shares Rare Throwback With Estranged Brother Brooklyn

However, David and Victoria played coy about the family strain during an interview with the Wall Street Journal held earlier this year.
When asked about the drama, she said, “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.”
“And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it,” Victoria added.
Meanwhile, Cruz appears to have extended an olive branch to Brooklyn by recently sharing childhood photos of all three brothers on Instagram.
In the photo, which appears to have been taken during a family holiday, they all removed their shirts and are smiling at the camera.
The seemingly nostalgic post comes as the Beckham family continues to navigate its very public rift with Brooklyn, making Cruz’s decision to put his older brother back in the spotlight particularly notable.
