Beyond physical fitness, Page has used his platform to reflect on identity and challenge societal norms around gender and sexuality.

The Blast previously detailed how the “Juno” star opened up about the emotional toll of growing up queer. He reflected candidly on experiencing profound loneliness and carrying a heavy burden of shame during his youth.

Explaining his motivation for joining the documentary project, Page stressed the importance of debunking myths regarding what is considered “natural.”

Expanding on his discussion about growing up queer, Page highlighted how societal pressure and institutional barriers complicate open dialogue surrounding LGBTQ+ experiences.

The Oscar nominee explained that navigating personal identity becomes far more difficult when individuals face systemic “censorship” and “erasure.”

He then addressed the heavy emotional toll and false premises surrounding gender and sexuality and noted that highlighting scientific evidence of diversity in nature helps dismantle rigid assumptions.
