“Vanderpump Rules” alum Lala Kent recently revealed that Mauricio Umansky, who is the estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards, had texted her. Now, days later, the real estate giant is responding, calling the former Bravo personality a liar.

Mauricio Umansky Had Harsh Words For Lala Kent

TMZ interviewed Umansky in May 2026 as he was leaving what appeared to be a restaurant. Initially, the interviewer asked him how he felt about “girls going public on your DMs.” After that, the man behind the camera clarified that he was referring to Kent, who had just days before confessed to receiving a DM from the 55-year-old.

Umansky responded, “Oh, man, she’s such a f-cking liar. It’s not even funny, dude.” Then, he stated that he considered posting a screenshot of the message he sent her to prove it wasn’t salacious, since he felt she had tried to portray it as such.

He continued, “But I’m going to tell you- she’s a liar. I did message her because she was talking s-it and I said, ‘Hey, you want to talk sh-t, I’ll talk to you.” From there, he said it was a long text and invited her to coffee. Umansky then questioned how Kent would know that if she truly didn’t open the message, as she claimed.

In the end, Umansky didn’t rule out posting his evidence.

Kent took to her “Untraditionally Lala” podcast in May 2026 to offer her thoughts on the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion. Specifically, she reacted to the discussion about how Umansky had filmed with the “Real Housewives of Potomac” ladies, and some of them, namely Ashley Darby, seemed to be flirting with him.

The 35-year-old stated that she was surprised by this, given that there should be an “unspoken sisterhood where you just don’t date within the crew. You just don’t do it.” After that, she brought up the DM from Umansky, noting that it came during the height of his breakup with Richards, which was widely discussed.

According to her, “I just never opened it or responded. There’s not a chance in… maybe trying to convince me that like what I was saying- I don’t even know what I was saying about him at that time.” Kent then acknowledged that it could have been “control damage” before saying, “I’m not gonna be caught out having coffee with ya.”

She continued, “Beyond the look, just, no.”
