Solange was just one of the many celebrities who honored Panettiere following her tragic death. According to a previous report from The Blast, Viola Davis honored the actress with her own Instagram post, sharing pictures of them on the set of “Custody.”
Davis praised Panettiere not only as an actor, but as a person, reflecting on her “old, wise soul with such a deep heart.” Davis added that she wished she had more time with the mother of one because she wanted to learn more about her.

Solange and Davis’ posts come just days after a representative for Panettiere shared that the actress had died at 36.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” the statement to PEOPLE said.
Reports state that police and medical personnel were called to a residence in South Carolina on Sunday, August 16, and found Panettiere “unresponsive” and in cardiac arrest, according to ABC News. First responders issued “advanced cardiac life support measures” but were unsuccessful.
Narcan Reportedly Found At The Scene

The details surrounding Panettiere’s death are still unknown, but officials were heard speaking about an “overdose” on dispatch audio, per The Blast. Another report from TMZ revealed that Narcan was found in the apartment where Panettiere died. Narcan, or Naloxone, is a fast-acting medicine that reverses an opioid overdose, according to the National Institute of Drug Abuse.
Panettiere’s struggles with addiction were widely known. The “Remember the Titans” actress spoke candidly about them in her book, “This Is Me,” and in recent interviews with Gayle King and Jay Shetty. King said that when Panettiere appeared on “CBS Mornings,” she told the respected journalist that she was in a good place. Despite that, King said she felt the actress was “clearly still struggling.”
