Timothée Chalamet has inspired countless lookalikes over the years, even embracing the phenomenon by surprising fans at a viral impersonator contest. However, one resemblance is reportedly no longer amusing the Oscar nominee.
According to a new report, Chalamet has grown uneasy over an OF creator whose striking similarity to the actor, and increasingly popular online presence, has raised concerns that some people could mistake explicit content for something connected to the Hollywood star.
Timothée Chalamet Is Reportedly Concerned About One Lookalike In Particular

Unlike the fans who simply mimic his hairstyle or fashion choices, Eddie Veyro has turned his resemblance to Timothée Chalamet into an online brand.
The Mexican content creator, who uses the handle @CallMeEddieV, openly references the actor’s breakout film “Call Me By Your Name” and promotes himself as “The CHALAMET lookalike everyone is talking about,” while directing followers to his OF page to see the private and uncensored uploads.
According to a source, that’s where the Chalamet’s concern begins. “Timothée has been alerted to the account and the attention surrounding it,” the insider told the Daily Mail, adding, “The comparisons have made the situation uncomfortable for him.”
The source stressed that the issue isn’t Veyro’s profession but the possibility that people could wrongly assume Chalamet is connected to content he “didn’t create or approve.”
Chalamet’s Lookalike Never Expected His Side Hustle To Explode
Veyro, however, insists none of this was part of a master plan. Speaking to the outlet, he explained that opening an OF account initially started as a way to earn extra income rather than launch a full-time career.
“I used it for fun. I didn’t really have an idea that this was going to grow so fast. I wanted to have more money from different work,” he said.
Everything changed after the account took off. In Veyro’s words, “Then after one year I was like ‘oh my God this is really big, so I need to make it more professional.’ Now it’s almost my full-time job.”
He said he gained roughly 20,000 followers during his first year before expanding through collaborations with photographers, brands and other creators, eventually building an audience of more than 100,000 followers.
Veyro also revealed that the Timothée Chalamet comparisons didn’t originate with him.
“A lot of people told me, ‘Oh you’re very similar,’” he said, adding that he had admired the actor ever since watching “Call Me By Your Name.” According to him, “I always said ‘oh he’s really cute.’”
Timothée Chalamet’s Lookalike Says He Never Wanted To Mislead Anyone
Despite the headlines, Veyro maintains he has never attempted to pass himself off as Chalamet or capitalize on confusion.
“I think people just like that I have a lot of similarities to Timothée but it’s just for fun. I can’t control what they say about the way I look. I don’t want to take his name or anything,” he explained.
He also rejected the idea that he was trying to profit by pretending to be the actor, sharing, “I have never intended to upset Timothée or copy him. I am not affiliated with him, and he has not endorsed, approved or participated in my account or its content.”
Chalamet’s Breakout Role Still Shapes Public Perception

The comparisons have also reignited conversations that have followed Chalamet ever since “Call Me By Your Name” transformed him into one of Hollywood’s biggest young stars.
The Luca Guadagnino-directed drama earned widespread acclaim while introducing audiences to Chalamet’s portrayal of Elio Perlman, a teenager who falls in love with Oliver, played by Armie Hammer.
During the film’s press tour with The Wrap in 2017, Chalamet resisted putting labels on love and sexuality, revealing that it can “take on a boundary-less form.”
He argued that moving beyond rigid labels allows people to experience love, pain and human connection more freely.
According to the source, that role, combined with the 30-year-old’s bold fashion choices over the years, has fueled persistent online speculation.
“Online rumors have questioned Timothée’s sexuality since he portrayed a gay teen in Call Me By Your Name,” the insider claimed, further noting, “Even though he’s been dating Kylie for three years, the gossip won’t go away.”
Timothée Chalamet Reportedly Wants One Misconception Cleared Up

While online speculation has swirled for years, insiders insist that isn’t what’s bothering Chalamet now. According to the source, the actor’s reported discomfort has nothing to do with Veyro’s sexuality or the audience he has built on OF.
Instead, the concern is that the striking resemblance between the two could leave some people believing Chalamet is connected to content he had no involvement in creating.
“Eddie’s likeness is too close for comfort and the content is sexual. His concern isn’t Eddie’s sexuality or audience. It’s simply the possibility of people wrongly associating him with content he didn’t create or approve,” the insider explained.
Veyro, however, says he has never tried to blur that line. “I think people just like that I have a lot of similarities to Timothée but it’s just for fun,” he said.
He maintained that the comparisons are beyond his control and stressed that he has never wanted to profit from Chalamet’s identity.
Veyro added, “I have never intended to upset Timothée or copy him. I am not affiliated with him, and he has not endorsed, approved or participated in my account or its content.”
