Tom Brady and Logan Paul are no strangers to taking shots at one another. Their latest exchange saw the seven-time Super Bowl champion slap the WWE star at a recent event, but some are wondering whether it was a publicity stunt to draw attention to Brady’s possible introduction to WWE. The strike came a day after the former football star expressed his desire to be invited into the wrestling ring.

Tom Brady Slapped Logan Paul After Panel At Fanatics Fest

On Friday, July 17, Tom Brady and Logan Paul shared the stage for a panel at Fanatics Fest in New York. Afterward, the two reportedly got into a heated discussion that ended with Brady slapping Paul across the face.

A video of the exchange made rounds on social media, with the two men standing close to each other, talking seriously. At one point, Brady removes his hand from his pocket and slaps Paul. NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns stepped between them to prevent the incident from escalating further, and Brady and Paul went their separate ways.

As of writing, the video has been viewed 9 million times, and many users aren’t convinced the beef between them is real. “This is the worst scripted scenario I’ve ever seen and I watched Jersey Shore,” one person commented.

The Two Continued Their Exchange On Social Media

Later, both Paul and Brady posted the video on their respective social media accounts. The influencer-turned-wrestler claimed he was slapped because he was “roasting” him over beating him at a flag football match. “Horrible example for the kids,” he wrote.

Brady replied to Paul’s post, writing, “I tried America… will try again next time I see this nerd.” He also posted the video with a one-word caption: “Dork.”

Meanwhile, the official WWE social media account also posted the clip, fuelling speculation that Brady is headed to the squared circle. “This gonna become a storyline aint it,” one guessed.

While Brady isn’t signed to the WWE, Paul has had a contract with the wrestling company since 2022. He is currently not competing, though, due to a tear in his triceps that he sustained during the WWE World Tag Team Championship match in May.

At Fanatics Fest, Brady sat down for an interview with wrestler Cody Rhodes for a live taping of his podcast “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” During the conversation, Brady voiced his desire to be in the ring and said he was just waiting for a call from WWE President Nick Khan.

Brady retired from football in 2023, and he feels wrestling is an opportunity to show that he’s still “a bit of an athlete.” He pointed out that his fellow NFL player Rob Gronkowski has also been in the ring, and he wants the same chance. “I could get in there for at least one match, right?” he told Rhodes.

Moreover, Brady said he’d be the perfect heel. “It’s such an easy choice. I’m a bad guy. I’ve always been a bad guy,” he said, adding that he always felt that way in the NFL. “When you go on the road and you’ve had some success in the NFL, they don’t like you.”

In February, Brady appeared on Paul’s podcast “Impaulsive,” where they had a heated exchange. The two were scheduled to appear in a flag football game the following month, and they discussed their athletic abilities.

Brady said he was a bit “worried” for Paul, saying that although he believes he is a good athlete, they are on different levels. Paul said he is a great athlete and claimed that he’s at the same level as Saquon Barkley, who is recognized as one of the best football players of his generation. Brady thought it was “cute” that Paul was comparing himself to a football player.

Brady later shared the clip on X and noted how the interview made him “mad.”

Brady and Paul were on opposing teams at the Fanatics flag football game in March, and it seemed their beef from the month prior didn’t simmer down. At one point, Brady threw a football directly at Paul. The latter’s team ended up winning the game 34 to 26, and he gloated on X by offering a sarcastic apology to the losing team.

“I’d like to apologize to Tom Brady for applying so much pressure on you play after play after play that had you literally fearing for your life,” he said.

Whether intentional or not, the heated exchanges have only fueled theories that the feud is setting the stage for Brady’s potential WWE appearance.
