Filming Of ‘RHOSLC’ Season 7 Was Initially Delayed, But Will Reportedly Resume With Mary Cosby

According to TMZ, production on the seventh season of "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" was previously said to be delayed due to Robert’s death.
Inside sources connected to the show previously told the outlet the reality series was set to begin shooting this week, but production was understandably postponed due to Robert's untimely death.
Additionally, sources also said at the time that his death will likely be a "major storyline" on the show, as the show's cast, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Angie Katsanavas, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, and Bronwyn Newport, will likely react to the heartbreaking situation at some point when filming officially begins.
However, on Friday, February 27, sources close to production told the outlet that Cosby will be returning to filming to maintain a sense of structure during this incredibly difficult time.
Mary will reportedly participate in filming at whatever pace she deems fit enough for her to handle, and there is no pressure on her from production concerning the matter.
Cosby Previously Opened Up About Her Son’s Addiction Prior To His Death
In an October 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Mary addressed her son's addiction battle and noted that the news he was using hard drugs completely "shocked" her because she was only aware that he was regularly using marijuana.
"I don't believe in judging people," she said of her approach to dealing with Robert's addiction. "I'm just not a judger. I don't like judging people, and I don't like to do it. … If he's opening up enough to tell me something this crucial, then why would I judge? I have no choice but to sit there and receive it and accept it and hope that I can help him."
