Comedian and actor Bert Kreischer faced a terrifying moment on the road in the midst of his tour when his tour bus caught on fire. Fortunately, he and his companions were all unharmed in the incident. Kreischer updated fans on social media, saying he was “lucky” to be alive.
Bert Kreischer’s Bus Was Completely Burned
On March 15, Kreischer took to social media and shared a photo of his tour bus, which had been reduced to a charred shell after catching fire. The roof was almost completely destroyed, exposing metal frames and scorched beams. The windshield and windows were missing, with the glass likely shattered by the intense heat of the blaze.
Kreischer assured his fans that no one was harmed, captioning the photo, “We are all safe but my bus is gone – God works in mysterious ways.”
The post received many comments, with Kreischer’s fellow comedians and friends showing concern and support for the actor. Some, however, approached the incident with humor. “Have you tried jump starting it? one wrote. Another commented, “Are you touring Iran?”
A Tire Blew Before The Bus Caught Fire

On March 14, Kreischer did shows in Fargo, North Dakota, and was headed to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the next stop on his tour.
Prior to posting about the destroyed bus, Kreischer went live on Instagram to update his followers. In the video, the comedian was heavily bundled up and smoking a cigar as he walked outside in the snow. According to him, they blew a tire while traveling. He then showed a large tire leaning against the side of the tour bus.
“Here’s the scary part…” he said, panning where the tire should have been. “It flew off the rim,” he said. “So now, we’re sitting on the side of the road, which is not the f-cking best place to be in the middle of a snowstorm.”
Despite being stuck outside, Kreischer seemed to be in good spirits as he and his companions tried to figure out how to fix the tire problem.
Bert Kreischer Left The Bus Before It Caught Fire
As Kreischer told People, he and his crew left the bus and got into the other tour buses. In regard to the blown-out tire, he noted, “It was a fluke accident. We hit nothing, and it was no fault of the driver’s. We waited outside for a couple of hours.”
He and his crew then split up and boarded two other tour buses. The driver remained in the broken-down bus to wait for someone to come and fix it. On March 15, however, the driver said he heard a popping sound coming from the roof before seeing smoke.
Fortunately, he was quick to act and hurried out of the tour bus before the fire started. In his Instagram Stories, Kreischer shared a photo of the bus burning. He assured his followers that no one was harmed, but they left clothing, food, and other items in the bus.
The Comedian Said He’s Lucky To Be Alive

In another update on Instagram Stories, Kreischer posted a photo of himself outside a store where he and his crew went to purchase clothes and other essentials.
As he told People, “Me, the other comedians, my assistant, and my trainer are all very lucky. The Lord works in mysterious ways,” he noted.
“As annoyed as we were to blow out a tire on a highway in a snowstorm in the middle of nowhere, we are all counting our blessings today that we weren’t on the bus when the fire broke out,” Kreischer said.
Bert Kreischer’s Tour And Netflix Series
Kreischer is currently on his “Permission To Party” tour, which began in September 2025. He will be performing in several locations until May, including Ontario, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and California.
The comedian is also fresh off the success of his Netflix series, “Free Bert,” which debuted on January 22. The six-episode comedy series stars Kreischer as a fictionalized version of himself, attempting to fit in with the high-society parents at his daughters’ private school.
