Chrishell Stause has officially entered the Spencer Pratt political drama, and this time Katharine McPhee found herself directly in the line of fire.

The “Selling Sunset” star appeared to take a pointed jab at the singer after McPhee publicly backed Pratt’s Los Angeles mayoral campaign during a fundraiser at her home with husband David Foster

However, Stause didn’t just criticize the endorsement as she also appeared to question McPhee’s confidence, relationships, and judgment in a scathing social media comment that quickly grabbed attention online.

Katharine McPhee Became A Target After Backing Spencer Pratt

The latest celebrity feud started after influencer Jordy Cray posted a TikTok video examining Katharine McPhee’s past relationships and controversies.

The clip revisited several moments from the singer’s personal life, including her highly publicized romance with music producer David Foster, who is 35 years older than her. McPhee married Foster in June 2019, becoming his fifth wife.

Cray’s TikTok video also revisited McPhee’s infamous 2013 cheating scandal involving her former “Smash” director Michael Morris.

At the time, the 42-year-old was still married to actor Nick Cokas when she was photographed kissing Morris. Morris was also married then to actress Mary McCormack.

Years later, McPhee reflected on that chapter of her life during a 2016 interview with Ocean Drive magazine. “I got married really young, and then divorced,” she explained.

“This is what I should have been doing when I was 20 instead of planning a wedding,” McPhee said, adding, “But I don’t have any regrets. All of the choices I made I learned from in a really deep way.”

Following the post, Stause jumped into the comment section with remarks many fans viewed as a direct attack on Katharine McPhee’s character.

“One day she will find her real inner confidence but it won’t come until after she is disregarded enough times by the problematic men she backs,” Stause wrote.

The reality star did not stop there. “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice,” she added.

The comments immediately sparked online debate, especially because Stause appeared to connect McPhee’s personal history to her public support of Pratt’s political campaign.

As The Blast reported earlier this month, McPhee and Foster hosted a fundraiser for Pratt at their Brentwood Park home in Los Angeles.

During the event, Foster played the piano while McPhee performed Tina Turner’s hit “The Best” with altered lyrics praising Pratt.

Video from the fundraiser circulated online and showed the “Scorpion” actress singing that Pratt is “better than [LA Mayor] Karen Bass and [LA Councilmember] Nithya Raman.”

At one point during the performance, she accidentally referred to Raman as “Cynthia” after forgetting her first name.

Meanwhile, Stause has repeatedly made it clear she does not support Pratt entering politics despite enjoying him as a television personality.

“Can I please implore NO MORE reality star politicians PLEASE!” Stause wrote on Threads back in April. “I have nothing against Spencer! In fact I like him on TV! NOT in the government tho. CA please pull it together,” she added.

Katharine McPhee faced major backlash online after the video went viral, with social media users blasting the performance as cringe and embarrassing.

Many viewers were stunned to see the former reality TV villain being publicly celebrated as a political figure. “This is embarrassing,” one user wrote, while another harshly compared the event to “a Klan rally.”

Critics also questioned why wealthy celebrities were backing Pratt’s campaign, with one commenter writing, “What a disgusting display of wealth. This man has done nothing to deserve a political position.”

The criticism extended beyond McPhee and Pratt, with some users saying the fundraiser itself was “not a good look for the Fosters.”

Others mocked the event as another example of celebrities trying to influence politics despite lacking qualifications or real solutions.

Chrishell Stause Isn’t The Only One Questioning Pratt’s Campaign

While Katherine McPhee has fully embraced Pratt’s mayoral ambitions, not every former reality TV star seems eager to rally behind him.

Pratt’s former “The Hills” co-star Lauren Conrad recently had an awkward reaction when asked whether she planned to vote for him during an appearance on NBC’s “Today.”

Conrad avoided giving a direct answer by pointing out she no longer lives in Los Angeles. “I’m not a resident of Los Angeles,” she responded.

The conversation then shifted toward her longtime feud with Pratt from their MTV days. When asked whether they had finally buried the hatchet, Conrad kept her response noticeably brief.

“Sure,” she answered before adding, “You’re asking me about people I haven’t spoken to in decades.”
