Coachella may look picture-perfect on social media, but a new wave of viral videos is telling a very different story. Multiple influencers are speaking out about what they’re calling a “trip from hell,” detailing everything from ticket disasters to last-minute housing issues and costly scams.
Influencer Claims She’s Out $3K After Coachella Ticket Disaster

One influencer said her group was left stranded outside the festival after purchasing tickets through what they believed was a secure resale platform. “I’m out of $3k. I don’t understand because we bought the tickets through the Coachella resale site, and somehow they were still reported stolen,” she said in a video being shared on X.
According to her, the issue wasn’t isolated. “Literally, this is happening to everybody. This isn’t just me. There was, like, at least 20 people that we’ve talked to… who have had the same exact issues.”
The situation left many confused about how to even get refunds. “I don’t know how to get our money back,” she added.
Coachella Attendee Calls Festival ‘Worst Experience Ever’

Another attendee claimed that it doesn’t matter whether you were part of the influencer group or not. “If you’re not going to Coachella and you feel really left out, let me tell you why you shouldn’t.”
“As someone who went as a normal person and not as an influencer, it was one of the worst concert experiences I’ve ever had,” she said, describing sky-high costs and major logistical issues, from expensive accommodations to chaotic entry points. “If you’re not going as an influencer, you don’t have your entire trip paid for, and Coachella costs, like, thousands of dollars. The accommodation, the Ubers, the actual festival itself are all so freaking expensive, like, super insanely expensive. Like thousands of dollars.
The journey into the venue itself was also physically demanding. “Getting inside the festival’s a nightmare,” she explained, adding that even staff couldn’t provide clear directions. “You have another what feels like an hour-long walk to actually get into the festival… on the super dusty, bumpy, like, unpaved road,” she said, noting it was especially difficult for her friend, who uses a wheelchair.
Influencer’s $20K Airbnb Suddenly Canceled Before Coachella
Housing issues also appeared to be a recurring theme. One influencer shared that her group’s Airbnb reservation, booked months in advance, was suddenly canceled without explanation. “All of a sudden… he gets a notification that the reservation is canceled… he did not cancel it,” she said.
After quickly rebooking, they realized the situation would cost them significantly more. “Our original 20 grand reservation, we only got 10 grand back… plus we’ve paid 14 grand to rebook it,” she explained.
Despite securing the property again, the group is now stuck in a dispute process. “I don’t know what’s going on… I don’t know if it’s a glitch in the system,” she added.
Influencer Calls Coachella Trip ‘From Hell’ After Airbnb Scam

Another influencer described an even more chaotic situation involving a brand-sponsored trip gone wrong. “I’m on the influencer trip from hell right now,” she said.
According to her, the group’s Airbnb turned out to be completely fake. “Our Airbnb was completely fake. It was a total scam,” she revealed.
With housing prices skyrocketing, the group was left scrambling for options. “We are wire transferring so many people… It’s 12:30. We’re in a parking lot… we have nowhere to go.”
After exhausting their options, they ended up in a last-minute budget stay. “We end up getting one last hotel room,” she said, revealing that they are now stuck in “which is “a Motel Six.”
Coachella Stays Silent Amid Growing Backlash

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the biggest music festivals in the world, held annually in Indio, California, and known for its star-studded lineups, influencer culture, and viral fashion moments.
Each year, thousands of attendees, including celebrities, influencers, and everyday festivalgoers, travel to the desert for the multi-weekend event, which has become as much a cultural phenomenon as it is a music festival.
However, as these viral videos continue to circulate, Coachella has not yet publicly responded to the claims regarding ticket issues, canceled accommodations, or alleged scams tied to this year’s event.
