Las Vegas is getting a new high-energy event on the calendar as Flavor Flav officially secures approval from Clark County commissioners to bring his “SHE Weekend” to the Strip. The multi-day celebration, centered around women, empowerment, and over-the-top Vegas vibes, is expected to be parties, appearances, and curated experiences, as well as a parade on the Strip and a concert. 

With the county’s green light, “SHE Weekend” moves from concept to reality, positioning itself as a standout addition to the city’s ever-evolving entertainment lineup. The event aims to draw locals, tourists, and sports fans alike, as the city also fills up for NBA Summer League.

Flavor Flav Was Approved For ‘SHE Weekend’ In Las Vegas

On Tuesday, Flavor Flav’s “SHE Weekend” was approved by Clark County commissioners in a unanimous vote. They approved the plan for a parade on July 16, 2026, at 8 p.m., starting at the Bellagio and heading south on the Strip to Toshiba Plaza in front of T-Mobile Arena.

According to KLAS, Flavor Flav told the commissioners, “Thank you for giving me the opportunity and I’m honored.” His manager, Rhiannon Rae Ellis added, “What started off as just an innocent tweet to support and celebrate female athletes has really turned into a movement. These Olympians really represent the best of us in the country, and they should have a celebration that recognizes that.” 

He also made sure to share how much he loves the city and his gratitude for getting the city’s approval for his event.

“Las Vegas is my city. This is the best city. Thank you all for giving me this opportunity for these girls,” he said to the commissioners. “This is going to be real big. It’s going to be a historical event.”

Flavor Flav Is Excited That ‘It’s Happening, It’s Really Happening’

After getting the good news about the approval, Flavor Flav took to his Instagram and the event’s Instagram pages to share the news.

“I gotta let everybody know right now, my Flavor Flav’s ‘SHE Weekend’ just got approved officially today by the commissioners,” he said enthusiastically. “Right here in Vegas, it’s going down July 16 to the 19th.” 

His caption further explained what’s going on.

“FLAVOR FLAV::: ITS HAPPENING!! ITS REALLY HAPPENING!! SHE Weekend was approved by the Las Vegas Clark County Commissioners today!! Thatz right,,, imma bringing the celebration to Vegas and am officially hosting a FREE PUBLIC CELEBRATION + CONCERT + PARADE ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP!!” the caption reads. “Your boy has been putting in the work,,, including spending hours and hours at these commissioners meetings,,, but hard work pays off.”

Many viewers hopped into the comment section to share their excitement for what the rapper is doing.

“Your support of female athletes is amazing, we love it,” one person wrote. Another added, “Letssss goooo.”

Tons Of Help Has Been Pouring In For ‘SHE Weekend’

It didn’t take long after Flavor Flav announced his idea to celebrate female athletes in Las Vegas for the community to jump in and offer assistance. The “Support She Got Game” GoFundMe exceeded multiple goals and is currently standing at $134,159 raised for the celebration.

In addition to the GoFundMe, Flav has the support of many local Vegas businesses, including Allegiant Stadium, Ramsay’s Kitchen, Atomic Golf, Topgolf, The Mob Museum, Magic Mike, Coyote Ugly, “Awakening” at the Wynn, Fremont Street, F1 Arcade, and the list goes on and on.

‘It Started With A Tweet. Now It’s A Movement’

In late April, Flav shared some information on IG about what he’s planning, introducing the event as Flavor Flav’s “SHE Weekend” on July 16 to 19 in Las Vegas.

“It started with a tweet. Now it’s a movement. Three days. Some of the most elite women athletes on the planet. Sports, Hospitality, and Entertainment — that’s SHE Weekend. But SHE is bigger than a weekend,” he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. “In 1998, Public Enemy told the world He Got Game. Now the world knows — She Got Game, too. ‘She living that Trophy Life, so go rebrand a Trophy Wife’. We’re focused on real impact. For women’s sports. For women athletes. For what comes next.”

The comment section lit up with praise for all the rapper is doing for the women athletes.

“This is epic!!!” one person wrote. Another said, “Yeaa booyy!! that’s why we bet on SHE!! No better way to celebrate these amazing women!” And one other wrote, “Thank you @flavorflavofficial for being our ally, absolutely love this!!”

How The Idea For ‘SHE Weekend’ Got Started

Earlier this year, Flavor Flav took to X to share a message for the USA Women’s Hockey team after they declined a visit to Washington, D.C.

“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite, I’ll host them in Las Vegas,” he wrote. “Do some nice dinners and shows and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real.”

He also took to his IG page to share more information about his idea.

“FLAVOR FLAV::: Cuz this wasn’t big enough,,, I wanna invite ALL the female Olympic and Paralympic medalists from the United States out to Vegas and we got you covered,, we gonna do some nice dinners, throw a big party and a parade and a concert,,, and go to some concerts and shows,” he wrote in his caption. “Thankx to all the companies and brands and musicians and entertainers who reached out. We gonna celebrate and show em SHE GOT GAME!!”
