Garcelle Beauvais Opens Up About Life Feeling ‘Different’ For Her These Days

Speaking with PEOPLE, Beauvais admitted that she’s been struggling to navigate her feelings about her sons growing up. “Oh my God, the house feels different already,” she said.
“I can, like, the energy feels different. Every now and then, I burst into tears because it’s not like the day-to-day of motherhood, what’s for dinner, I can’t make your game, oh my God, we need 25 cupcakes, and, you know, like all those little things,” she added.
According to Beauvais, her twin boys are “both driving,” meaning finding time where they’re all together is a bit more challenging. “I mean, the other day they both drove and met me for dinner, and yeah, it’s different,” she said.

“I definitely feel guilty that my work takes me away sometimes,” she said on camera before telling her sons that they could always be honest with her about their feelings. “I don’t know if that would change me not going because it’s work commitments, right, but I’m saying sometimes I wish you would vocalize it. This is your chance to say how you feel about how we run the household,” she said.
Elsewhere in the episode, Beauvais admitted to feeling “a lot of pressure as a working parent,” explaining that while she’s always tried to be present for her kids, knowing that she sometimes wasn’t felt “like a knife to the heart.”
Garcelle Beauvais’ Son Was Attacked On Social Media After An Episode Of ‘RHOBH’
A year earlier, Beauvais’ son, Jax, was the topic of conversation on “RHOBH” after one of his mother’s co-stars, Erika Jayne, was filmed cursing at him during a group event. After the episode aired, Jax was relentlessly attacked by social media trolls, prompting Beauvais, other “Real Housewives” stars, and Bravo to release a statement.
“We are shocked and appalled at the social comments directed at Garcelle’s son,” the statement from Bravo’s Instagram read. “We urge our viewers and social followers alike to refrain from targeting our cast and their families with harmful rhetoric.”
Beauvais reshared Bravo’s post to her profile, adding, “Thank you, BravoTV, for your support. It’s not OK!!!”
Beauvais Says She Left ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ After A ‘Line Was Drawn’ In The Sand

Beauvais left the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2025. She opened up about her departure in her new audio book, “Protecting My Peace… At All Costs,” according to a previous report from The Blast.
“A line was drawn for me that I no longer wanted to cross. I felt like my spirit could no longer do it. (It was) just drama for the sake of drama,” Beauvais said about her surprising exit.
Beauvais made headlines when she walked off the “RHOBH” season 14 reunion set after feuding with a majority of the women.
“I realized something I couldn’t unsee. I didn’t have an ally. Not one. Not a single friend [is] sitting on that stage with me. No one to lock eyes with, no one to lean toward. No one saying, ‘I see you,’” Beauvais said in her latest book. “The same way I walked in is how I walked out. Alone. I didn’t wanna fight anymore. I didn’t wanna be a grown a, woman, a grandmother, going after other women.”
Leaving The Show Was Hard For Beauvais

While she said goodbye to the series, Beauvais admitted leaving the show behind wasn’t an easy decision.
“It was hard because, again, I’m an immigrant. You don’t leave jobs,” she said. “You don’t leave jobs that are paying you, right? So that wasn’t an easy decision.”
