Speaking to PEOPLE Magazine, an insider revealed the “Employee of the Month” star is embracing this new phase of her life. 

“She’s happy. She’s in a great place, excited for her future,” the source shared, pointing to a positive shift after a difficult period.

The relationship comes over a year after Simpson and Johnson announced their separation in January 2025. 

The former couple were married for a decade and built a life together that included raising their three children. 

Despite the breakup, Simpson has remained focused on moving forward both personally and professionally.

Earlier in March, a source told PEOPLE that the duo was still under the same roof while working through next steps, including selling their Hidden Hills home.

“The goal has been to keep everything as stable and as friendly for the kids as possible,” the insider shared.

Shortly after the revelation, The Blast reported that the former lovebirds’ living situation shifted noticeably with their luxury Hidden Hills mansion at the center of it all. 

According to the report, the pair’s sprawling home, originally bought for about $11.5 million, was listed for $17.9 million a few days before officially confirming their split.

The massive estate spans over 11,000 square feet and includes multiple bedrooms, a large pool, outdoor entertaining areas, and even a custom recording studio designed for Simpson’s music. 

Despite initially planning to sell, it was revealed that Simpson took it off the market shortly after deciding to keep the property, while Johnson had to move into a nearby home, allowing them to co-parent more smoothly.

Simpson has been balancing her personal changes with a renewed focus on her career and family life.

While her relationship status has shifted, her priorities have remained steady.

The source noted that she is “focused on her kids” while also turning her attention back to her music and professional goals. 

The transition comes after Simpson publicly addressed her separation earlier in 2025.

At the time, she told PEOPLE, “Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage.” 

She also emphasized her commitment to her family, stating, “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.”

As The Blast reported, the singer embraced her independence following her split, revealing that she was not worried about her love life. 

When asked about dating, and even the idea of joining “The Bachelorette” to find a new man, Simpson shut it down with a blunt response. “I have options. I’m good,” she said.  

The actress didn’t go into full detail about any romance at the time, but she had previously shared what she was looking for, saying she wanted someone unique who exudes confidence without ego. 

She also admitted that chemistry mattered, revealing that a very good kisser was important to her.  “I love love. And I’m very passionate. I have a lot to give,” she said per PEOPLE. “And a very good kisser, has to be a very good kisser. To me that’s the most intimate thing, grab my face and pull me in. Can you tell I need it?”
