The pop icon's whirlwind romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has already shocked fans. Now, after recent photos sparked speculation, social media is convinced a pregnancy announcement could be next. 

However, insiders say the truth behind the rumors is far less dramatic, even as their relationship continues to heat up.

Katy Perry Pregnancy Rumor Begins After Montecito Outing

The latest speculation began in Montecito, California, where Katy Perry stepped out with the politician at the Coral Casino and Cabana Club. 

Instead of her usual bold and fitted outfits, Perry wore a loose white cover-up and carried a robe draped across her midsection.

That detail alone sent the internet into overdrive. Fans quickly claimed she might be hiding a baby bump. 

Given that she and Justin Trudeau have been dating for less than a year, the rumor spread even faster.

However, sources close to the couple have shut it down. "There have been rumors recently that Katy is pregnant, but she is not," one insider told the Daily Mail. 

The source made it clear the speculation is unfounded, even if many online are eager to believe otherwise.

Perry And Trudeau's Romance Shocked Fans

When whispers first surfaced last July about Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau spending time together, few believed it would turn serious. 

Both had just ended high-profile relationships, and their careers seemed worlds apart.

Perry had recently split from Orlando Bloom after nine years together. The former couple shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. 

Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. He shares three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien, with his ex-wife.

Soon after Perry confirmed her breakup, she was seen at a cozy dinner with Trudeau at Montreal restaurant Le Violon. 

Days later, he attended her Lifetimes tour stop in the same city with his daughter. Video captured him singing along to "Dark Horse," clearly enjoying the show. What started as surprising quickly became serious.

By October, the relationship was no longer speculation. Exclusive photos showed the pair kissing aboard the "Dark Horse" crooner's 8-foot yacht, the Caravelle, off the coast of Santa Barbara.

Two months later, they made things even more official during a trip to Japan, where they posed alongside former prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife. 

Perry also shared images from the visit while she was performing abroad.

Their appearances made it clear this wasn't a short-lived fling. According to insiders, "Justin and Katy's relationship is going great. Nobody actually believed it was ever going to be a thing, and now that it is, everyone wants them to get married and have children." 

Still, the couple is reportedly taking things one step at a time.

Perry Is Focused On Her Tour Before Any Baby Plans

While fans continue speculating about wedding bells and babies, insiders say the couple is simply enjoying the moment.

"She's not against it, but they are just in a euphoric honeymoon phase and enjoying life together with the children they already have from their previous relationships," the source explained.

Katy Perry is also preparing for upcoming festival appearances across Europe. According to the insider, that is the main reason she isn't pregnant. 

"But Katy would also actually like to get through her upcoming tour with limited stress and not have the concern that comes with bringing a new life into the world," they added. 

Serious conversations about engagement or marriage haven't even happened yet. 

"They haven't even addressed getting engaged or married. They are just enjoying being a couple," the source added. "They are happy with each other and are happy with their future together."

Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Move Forward While Co-Parenting

As Perry builds a new chapter, Bloom appears to be moving forward as well. 

The actor was recently seen at the Super Bowl with model Luisa Laemmel, and onlookers described them as affectionate throughout the game.

Despite their split, Perry and Bloom continue to co-parent Daisy. According to the insider, if Perry were to become pregnant again, Bloom "would be sad at first but would overall accept it and be happy for her." 

The source added, "It is in Orlando's best interest to wish the best for his ex because it teaches his children a great lesson."

For now, there's no baby on the way. Instead, the only major addition appears to be Trudeau's new $3.1 million home in Montreal's upscale Outremont neighborhood, a property he recently showed Perry during a visit.
