Kristin Cabot says she is still struggling to find work after resigning from Astronomer.
The HR executive went viral last year following a kiss cam incident at a Coldplay concert with her former boss, Astronomer ex- CEO Andy Byron.
Kristin Cabot now claims she is “dying to get back to work,” but has yet to be hired by any of the companies she has reached out to.
Kristin Cabot Claims She Is ‘Dying To Get Back To Work’

Last year, Kristin Cabot’s life experienced a major upheaval after she was spotted canoodling with her former boss, then-CEO of Astronomer, Andy Byron, at a Coldplay concert in Boston.
She resigned from her position and faced significant backlash, despite previously explaining that she was already estranged from her husband, Andrew Cabot, at the time.
Even now, the consequences of that moment continue to follow her. She recently revealed that she has been unable to secure a job since the incident, despite being an HR executive with many years of experience.
“I have so much gas left in the tank. I’m dying to get back to work,” Cabot bemoaned during her appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s podcast, which aired on Tuesday.
Cabot went on to emphasize how crucial it is for her to find work as soon as possible, citing her financial responsibilities to her children, who are from a previous relationship.
“I’m raising my kids alone. I’m financially responsible for my kids alone, and I need to get back to work,” she said.
The HR Exec Believes Her Former Boss’s Job Chances Aren’t Affected By The Kiss Cam Scandal

Cabot resigned from her role at Astronomer in July, and in her interview with Oprah, she claimed she did so because she felt staying on would put “everybody in a bad position.”
That same month, Byron also left the company and has since taken a no-public-statement stance.
For now, it is unclear how he is faring in the job market, but Cabot believes her former boss isn’t facing the same obstacles she is.
According to the HR executive, Byron has been receiving “lots of interest” for job offers and can pick from any whenever he is ready.
“I think he has the luxury of staying silent, and he can go back to work when he’s ready. I don’t,” Cabot compared herself with the former Astronomer CEO.
“In order for me to get back on my feet, I have to come out and explain. And I think that’s a stark difference between the man and the woman in this situation,” she continued.
Kristin Cabot Was Criticized For Trying To Defend Her Actions
On social media, Cabot’s appearance on Oprah’s podcast has drawn significant backlash, particularly because her remarks came across as an attempt to justify being caught in the incident.
A netizen wrote, “Total L. She was the head of HR, the department of people that set policy and train you to not have inappropriate sexual relationships in the work place.”
“Head of HR absolutely should not be behaving that way with CEO boss. Completely unacceptable for the company. Cannot believe she is now touring around giving interviews to try to defend her,” a second individual noted.
A third user added, “The PR campaign to make this situation appear normal. Why hide it in the moment?”
One more wrote, “He was her boss. It’s totally inappropriate and against the company rules. Otherwise, it could have been sexual harassment if the boss asked her out and she didn’t want to go out with him.”
Kristin Cabot Previously Revealed She Was ‘Embarrassed’ By The Kiss Cam Scandal

Late last year, Cabot broke her silence about the incident, revealing the emotional toll it took on her.
“I was so embarrassed and so horrified,” Cabot told the New York Times in a sit-down. “I’m the head of HR, and he’s the CEO. It’s, like, so cliché and so bad.”
At the time, she revealed that her relationship with Byron was never sexual and simply described their outing as a “bad decision.”
“I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,” she told the outlet.
Cabot also claimed that her decision to resign was an act of “accountability.”
“That’s the price I chose to pay,” the seasoned HR professional also noted. “I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up, but you don’t have to be threatened to be killed for them.”
The 53-Year-Old Admits Her Kids Struggled With The Backlash Over Her Kiss Cam Scandal
During a chat with The Times of London, Cabot shared that she and her kids are still dealing with the backlash caused by her actions with her former boss.
“It’s not over for me, and it’s not over for my kids,” she said. “The harassment never ended.”
Cabot added that her kids are especially mad at her and even avoid being picked up from school due to the viral kiss cam scandal.
“They’re mad at me,” she admitted. “And they can be mad at me for the rest of their lives – I have to take that.”
