The reality television star recently shared details about a series of health scares that have kept her in a state of constant concern.

This comes months after June opened up about still grieving her late daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, who passed away in 2023 following a battle with cancer.

Mama June Opens Up About Her Health Challenges 

June is facing a medical condition that she fears could eventually take away her ability to move. During an interview on the "Virtual Reali-Tea" podcast, the 46-year-old reality star revealed that while her condition isn't life-threatening, it is serious enough to potentially change her life forever. 

“We know it’s not ever gonna kill me, but it could immobilize me,” she explained, per Page Six. This new struggle comes after a difficult year that included an unexpected total hysterectomy due to complications with fibroid cysts.

Additionally, the health scare was particularly heavy for the "Toddlers & Tiaras" alum following the death of her daughter, Cardwell, who passed away from cancer at age 29. 

June admitted that the experience left her terrified that she was facing a similar fate. “I was worried it was going to be ovarian cancer," she said, noting that she spent a long time stuck in her own head with worry.

While she is currently navigating menopause, she clarified that her latest mobility concerns are a completely separate issue.

The TV Star Received A Chilling Prediction About Her Health Last Year

The current concerns regarding Mama June’s mobility follow a terrifying episode in 2025 that saw her rushed to the emergency room.

During an episode of “Mama June: Family Crisis,” the reality star met with a psychic who issued a stark warning about her physical well-being. 

The fortune teller told her that she had "lost a lot of health" due to an immense burden of stress. Most shockingly, the psychic predicted that June was at high risk for a heart attack if she didn't find a way to manage the pressure she was carrying, per The Blast. 

The warning proved to be eerily timely, as June began experiencing severe discomfort almost immediately after the reading.

Though she initially tried to decline medical help, her condition worsened until she felt like she was "about to throw up," prompting a producer to insist she go to the hospital. 

As they drove to the emergency room, a frightened June admitted that the pain was “way worse” than it had ever been. However, doctors ultimately determined that the intense pain was being caused by ovarian cysts, not a heart attack.

The lingering stress from Mama June’s ongoing health scares is deeply intertwined with the emotional toll of the last two years.

In December 2025, the reality star shared a lengthy and raw video on Instagram to mark the second anniversary of her daughter Anna’s passing. 

She pushed back against critics who assumed she was no longer grieving just because she wasn't always crying on social media.

“Just ‘cause I’m not on here boo-hooing doesn’t mean I don’t have bad days,” she fired back. She further admitted to being an "emotional wreck" behind the scenes, as reported by The Blast.

In a heartbreaking caption, the 46-year-old admitted that losing a child has been "one of the hardest things" she has ever faced, even more difficult than her highly publicized battle with drug addiction. 

Mama June Was Shaken After Her Daughter’s Car Crash

Adding to the family’s intense emotional and physical burdens, June also faced every mother’s worst nightmare. In September, the reality star revealed that her youngest daughter, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, was involved in a serious car accident near her home in Colorado. 

According to The Blast, the 20-year-old was pulling out of her driveway when a speeding driver slammed into the driver's side of her vehicle. 

June described the moment she received the call as her "stomach dropping," hearing Alana hollering in the background. While Alana was rushed to the hospital to be treated for back pain and headaches, she eventually went home to recover.

Before the car accident and June's health scares, the family was working through deep financial wounds. Alana addressed the state of her relationship with her mother following allegations that June stole significant amounts of money from her daughter’s earnings. 

According to The Blast, Alana shared that things are currently in a positive place, explaining that she believes in moving on.

The healing process has been helped by June’s efforts to repay the missing funds. While Alana confirmed that she received the $35,000 earned from her 2018 stint on “Dancing with the Stars,” she noted that she is still waiting on her childhood earnings from “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”
