Rihanna left LA on a private jet after gunfire erupted outside her Beverly Hills home. A suspect is now facing attempted murder charges.

A terrifying security scare has rattled Rihanna after gunfire erupted outside her Beverly Hills home.
Authorities say a woman allegedly fired multiple shots toward the property while the singer was inside the residence she shares with partner A$AP Rocky.
As the investigation quickly intensified and a suspect was arrested, Rihanna was spotted leaving Los Angeles on a private jet, sparking questions about whether the shocking attack prompted the sudden departure.
Rihanna Leaves Los Angeles Shortly After Shooting Scare

Rihanna appeared eager to put distance between herself and the frightening situation after the shooting outside her home.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the superstar was photographed traveling in a convoy of SUVs to the private aviation terminal at Van Nuys Airport on Monday.
From there, she boarded a small twin-engine jet that carried her out of Los Angeles.
Her departure came shortly after prosecutors charged a woman with attempted murder in connection with the gunfire directed at the singer's property.
It remains unclear whether Rihanna had already planned the trip before the incident or if the shooting influenced her decision to leave the city so quickly.
The attack unfolded at the Beverly Hills residence Rihanna shares with A$AP Rocky. While the rapper was reportedly not home at the time, the singer herself was believed to be inside when the shots were fired.
Despite the frightening circumstances, authorities confirmed that no one inside the home was injured.
Rihanna's Mansion Targeted As Dispatch Audio Reveals Chaotic Moments
Details from emergency dispatch recordings paint a tense picture of the moments after the shooting was reported.
During the call, dispatchers urgently informed responding officers that several gunshots had been fired toward Rihanna's home.
At one point in the recording, it was suggested that as many as 10 shots may have been discharged during the incident.
The alleged shooter was believed to have fired from inside a white Tesla before leaving the area.
Initially, police lacked critical information about the vehicle, including the driver's identity and the license plate number. That made it difficult for officers to locate the suspect immediately.
As the call progressed, dispatchers relayed additional updates. Authorities learned that the Tesla might be using temporary paper license plates.
Investigators also began reviewing nearby surveillance cameras in hopes of identifying the vehicle more clearly and tracking its movements.
Rihanna Shooting Suspect Arrested After Police Helicopter Spots Vehicle
The search for the suspect eventually led officers to a crucial breakthrough. Dispatchers had circulated a description of the driver, saying she reportedly had braided hair and was wearing a cream-colored blouse.
Officers were also told that the Tesla appeared dirty along its lower panels. With that information, police units began scanning surrounding neighborhoods for a matching vehicle.
The breakthrough came when a police helicopter spotted a Tesla matching the description parked in a Sherman Oaks lot. Officers quickly moved in and arrested the driver, believed to be involved in the shooting.
The suspect was later identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz. Authorities confirmed she has been charged with attempted murder and is being held on bail set at $10.2 million.
The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division has since taken over the investigation.
Rihanna Shooting Suspect Reportedly Made Threats Before The Incident
As investigators dug deeper into the suspect's background, troubling details began to emerge.
As The Blast reported, Ortiz had allegedly directed disturbing threats toward Rihanna just days before the shooting occurred.
In a February 23 post, the shooter called the "Diamonds" singer out, accusing her of having AIDS.
"@badgalriri — Are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you're talking to me where I'm not at," the post read.
Authorities also uncovered a history of legal problems connected to the suspect in Florida. Her previous arrests reportedly include domestic violence allegations, careless driving, and violations of pretrial release conditions.
Court records show that Ortiz had also been involved in a custody dispute involving her child.
In December 2025, she filed an appeal after a court awarded custody to her former partner.
Meanwhile, people close to Rihanna and A$AP Rocky suggested the couple initially had very little information about what had taken place.
Inside Rihanna's Beverly Hills Estate
The dramatic incident unfolded at Rihanna's sprawling Beverly Hills estate, which she purchased in 2021.
The property sits on a secluded cul-de-sac and occupies a massive 21,958-square-foot lot.
Originally constructed in the 1930s, the home includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a large open courtyard with a swimming pool.
The mansion has served as a private retreat for Rihanna and her growing family. The home also sits across the street from the residence of music legend Paul McCartney.
It also housed other industry moguls, including Madonna and singer Mariah Carey, who leases a property a few doors away.
For now, the luxurious property has become the center of the investigation as detectives work to determine the motive behind the frightening shooting that targeted Rihanna's home.
