Bullock is clearly having fun with her new Instagram account, and she’s already putting it to good use.

The Oscar winner showed off her mischievous side by playfully trolling her “The Lost City” co-star Channing Tatum. A fan account resurfaced a quote from the actor’s GQ 2024 interview, where he admitted to buying a year’s worth of clothes to avoid doing laundry.

Bullock couldn’t resist chiming in.

“Of course you did,” she commented, adding a winking emoji.

Bullock has also been popping up across her friends’ posts, including one featuring Jennifer Aniston styling Jason Bateman’s hair.

Bullock’s long absence from social media wasn’t accidental.

While Bullock never fully explained her decision to avoid platforms like Instagram, she made it clear she had serious concerns about the risks involved. In February 2025, the “Speed” star issued a statement condemning a wave of scam accounts impersonating her and targeting her fans.

Bullock emphasized that she had no official social media presence and warned fans not to trust any accounts claiming to be hers.

“Any accounts pretending to be me or anyone associated with me are fake,” she said in a statement to PEOPLE Magazine at the time.

Bullock’s concerns about fake social media accounts were echoed by her sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, who revealed the alarming extent of the issue.

Just a day before Bullock’s statement, Gesine took to Instagram to share that she had been reporting numerous fake accounts impersonating her on Facebook, many of which were being used to scam unsuspecting fans.

Clarifying her online presence, Gesine stressed, “This is my only account, and y’all know it’s about baking, cooking, animals, and gardening.”

Bullock made a striking appearance at the CinemaCon 2026 Warner Bros. Pictures presentation at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday.

Bullock was also spotted sharing a warm, affectionate moment with her co-star Kidman, who complemented her look in a sleek all-black ensemble.

The duo’s chemistry goes beyond the red carpet, though, with Kidman recently speaking about their close bond. In an interview with Variety, she described Bullock as more like family than a colleague.

“We’re like sisters. I have so much protection and love for her,” Kidman said, adding that their contrasting working styles actually strengthen their collaboration: “She’s incredibly hands-on, and I love delegating. We have different skill sets that become complementary. It’s amazing that we still know each other.”
