Alix Earle opens up about her long-running battle with acne, as well as the skin issues she wanted to deal with beyond breakouts!

The content creator, who rose to fame for her raw “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) videos, recently took to TikTok and talked about her complexion while sharing her current skincare routine to fans. Earle, 25, also revealed that she feels her skin is in a better place than ever.

“My overall skin complexion has never been better,” she said. “I’m going to show you guys how I got to this point.”

While the improvements were noticeable, the influencer made it clear that getting there wasn’t always easy.

Earle didn’t pull back from sharing acne history, admitting that breakouts have been a longtime concern.

“I’ve always struggled with acne,” she revealed.

The model also gave her followers some context about her skin before she began using her current skincare routine, explaining that she was taking spironolactone at the time.

“This for me was actually pretty good, but this was when I was like on spironolactone right before I started using Real Actives,” Earle explained.

She credited the four-step routine with helping improve her complexion and acne, saying it has “really helped” to clear up her skin.

Even with her acne problems improving, Earle realized there was another skin issue she wanted to address.

“But besides acne, the next thing I wanted to treat was redness,” she said.

For her, the issue wasn’t simply a minor cosmetic concern, as it made her skin feel uncomfortable, which made her unhappy with the way her complexion looked.

“I just felt like my skin was always so like red and irritated,” Earle explained.

She added that she “never felt like it looked like skin,” highlighting how much the appearance and texture of her complexion had bothered her.

Rather than focusing solely on covering up imperfections, Earle’s skincare routine has become part of how she approaches her complexion.

As she walked fans through her routine, the influencer reflected on just how different her skin looks and feels compared with where she started.

In her routine, Earle started off by exfoliating, saying, “To start off the morning routine, I go in with my Pore Power Cleanser. I just use a little in the morning. It’s a gentle exfoliating cleanser, so it honestly just goes on nice.”

She continued, “It doesn’t, like, leave your skin feeling super stripped or dry. This has salicylic acid in it, so it’s gonna go in, [and] clean your pores.”

Earle followed up with her “calming serum,” which she said is not “out yet but coming later, and I’m really excited.”

“This has 10% azelaic acid in it. It’s a really nice, like, milky texture to it. It’s hydrating, so it’s a great like lightweight morning serum,” Earle explained. “But azelaic acid is really good for clarity, redness, rosacea, dark spots. So I use this calming serum in the morning and the mandelic acid (Go Deep 8% Mandelic Acid Serum Concentrate) at night.”

The influencer ended her routine with the “Do More Moisturizer,” which she regarded as her “favorite thing in the entire world.”

“I use this morning and night, and it is just like so hydrating, but it also just has such a light feel, and it just smells like a fresh spa,” Earle gushed over her product. “Gives you a really good glow. It’s good under makeup. Thing about this is it’s really, I mean, right away you can see, boom. And why this is important and why we made everything to work together is like this has the right ingredients that are going to be able to keep your skin hydrated and like keep your skin barrier intact.”

Earle has never been shy about letting followers into different parts of her beauty routine, but her latest video takes a more personal approach by explaining why certain products became important to her.

After years of dealing with acne and redness, she now appears much more confident in her complexion. While it may seem like she’s just promoting her products, Earle emphasized in the video, “I don’t play about my skin because I’ve always struggled with it, so I would never steer you guys in the wrong direction.”

She ended the video by saying, “Your skin is a journey, just a reminder. It’s not going to be fixed overnight. Like, there’s always going to be ups and downs, different life factors that play into your skin and how it’s doing. But it’s always important to make sure that you have a good, clean skincare routine, you’re properly cleansing your skin, and you are taking care of it. So I’m so happy you guys are loving this as much as I am.”
