Andy Cohen sees his boyfriend’s ignorance about his favorite franchise as bliss!

The media personality revealed that his romantic partner is not a fan of Bravo’s “Real Housewives” shows, and he has no single bone to pick about that absolute green flag in his books.

Andy Cohen and his boyfriend Kevin Sobieski began dating after meeting at a July 4th party last year in what could be described as a love-at-first-glance situation that has waxed stronger nearly a year later.

The Bravo executive gladly shared that his new romantic partner has no clue about the “Real Housewives” universe, and he wants things to remain that way. During his appearance on TODAY, Cohen explained that Sobieski has never seen an episode of the franchise despite his involvement in the show.

Cohen joked that Sobieski’s social media has been working overtime to educate and expose him to the world of Bravo. In his words: “His algorithm is feeding him Housewives-related things [now] because our phones listen to everything we say, so he’s starting to get a sense of the universe, but he has no clue.”

Cohen reassured the interviewers that he has no reservations about his boyfriend’s lifestyle, because at the end of the day, he loves him and his two children. As shared by US Weekly, the Bravo executive added that with time, Sobieski will get to that point where he would understand the workings of the franchise.

Over a year after their first meeting in 2025, Cohen flaunted a picture of himself and the businessman on Instagram as they headed out for a quick bite. The Blast shared that the media personality and his partner looked in love and very fashionable as their friends and well wishes showered them with lovely comments.

Lots of cast members from “Real Housewives” raved about the happiness Cohen and Sobieski radiated as they stepped out for date night. In June, Cohen revisited the moment he met his boyfriend at a gay party in Hampton; one of the rare times he attended one.

He recalled seeing him from across the room, engaging him in a lengthy conversation, exchanging contacts, and finding home in his arms about a year later. Cohen emphasized that since the relationship began, Sobieski has shown him what kindness, strength, and wit look like, which he wants around for a while.

The media personality does not speak in small measure about his love for his children and how significant they are in the grand scheme of things, including his choice of relationships. Cohen shared that he took his time to slowly familiarize Sobieski with his family, especially his children, who have over time built a close bond with the mogul.

He raved about his happiness to have found Sobieski and take him as a life partner, all while taking it all in behind the scenes before sharing that side of him with the world. Cohen had previously disclosed that his dating strategy took a dramatic switch since he became a father.

While he does not mind signing up on every dating app known to humanity, he confessed that he does have to deal with the problem of people constantly impersonating his identity. Becoming a dad, however, taught him to look beyond the surface and distinguish between physical attraction and someone he can genuinely build a life with.

The Father-Of-Two Revealed He Drew One Firm Line While Running Bravo

During one of his appearances on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, he took the chance to clear up some rumors surrounding his work history with Bravo, especially when it came to dating colleagues or cast members from the franchise. 

Cohen confessed that in some moments, he felt human and briefly considered the thought of dating someone from the network; he quickly recognized it would cause unnecessary complications given his status in the network.

As noted by The Blast, the media personality then revealed that getting into a relationship would mean his romantic partner would be a strong, independent, smart, and very employed handsome man.

He also addressed his very physical relationship with John Mayer and how they never shy away from showing each other affection, be it sitting on the same side of the booth, or having the rock singer wrap his arms around him.

Cohen expressed that the singer embodied some qualities he hoped to find in a gay guy, but for the meantime, he remained grateful for their gift of friendship.

Andy Cohen And Nene Leakes May Arrive At A Truce Following Her Bravo Return

Leakes’ exit from the network a few years back was trailed by allegations of Bravo promoting a toxic workplace culture against her and failing to protect her from racism.

These claims have caused friction between Leakes and Cohen over the years, but all that may be set aside following reports that she will make a return to the “Real Housewives” franchise.

Cohen revealed in an interview that Leakes’ return was a sign that Bravo’s 20th anniversary will not feel the same without Leakes, who is one of its biggest stars. He insisted that the reality star’s lawsuit against Bravo was a closed chapter and honoring the show’s legacy without her involvement did not feel right.

Leakes was also on the same page, as she made it clear that despite her limited return, she remained open to burying the hatchet with Cohen, as time heals all wounds and resentment was pointless at this point.

The social media influencer, however, noted that a friendship may not come out of the reconciliation, but she will do her best to keep things positive.
