Booted “Love Island” star Alannah Keyser is speaking out after a video showing her using a racial slur resurfaced online. The video prompted swift backlash and calls for the reality star to be dumped from the “Love Island” villa. Producers heard the concerns and took appropriate action, telling fans that the Miami native had been removed from the show during last Thursday’s episode. Now, the 21-year-old is breaking her silence about the video and says she’s since removed the slur from her vocabulary.

Keyser posted a TikTok video days after she was kicked out of the “Love Island” villa, addressing the noise surrounding her departure.
She explained that the clip of her using the N-word is “six years old,” adding that she was singing along to Roddy Ricch’s song “The Box.”
Later in the video, Keyser assured “Love Island” viewers that the N-word is no longer a slur she uses today, adding that it’s “not in my vocabulary anymore.”
Keyser went on to say that she “does not support racism or discrimination” and said that she was heartbroken learning that things from her past were resurfacing during her time away.
Social Media Users React To Alannah Keyser’s Apology Video
Keyser’s video didn’t garner the reaction from “Love Island” fans she was likely hoping for, as one Instagram user clapped back, saying her apology seemed heavily “scripted.” Another user chimed in, accusing her of using ChatGPT and other AI bots to address the noise.
A third user pointed out Keyser’s alleged bias against the men of color in the villa. For those who may not have seen it, when Keyser entered the villa, she was tasked with kissing all of the OG men. However, she only kissed the fair-skinned men, leaving the Black contestants, Corbin Mims, Sincere Rhea, and KC Chandler without a kiss, sparking even more criticism from some viewers.
“The audience is too diverse and picked up on it too. She couldn’t even play along during the challenge. How is that going to play out for the season? She was on the wrong show,” the commenter added.
Alannah Keyser’s Dad Enters The Chat To Defend His Daughter Against Racism Allegations

According to a previous report from The Blast, Keyser’s dad also responded to the claims that his daughter was racist, saying that she wasn’t raised to have hate in her heart. Keyser’s father called his daughter an “educated sweetheart” and claimed that she was brought up around diverse groups of people.
Keyser’s dad also received criticism from the fans, informing him that just because she was surrounded by different cultures doesn’t mean she can’t be racist. “Guess what, Dad? Racists can be sweet to those they care about AND get an education. That doesn’t make them not racist, guy,” someone wrote.
Keyser Is The Second Contestant From This Season To Get Kicked Off The Show
Keyser was the second contestant from this season of “Love Island” to get kicked out of the villa, according to The Blast.
Vasanna Montgomery was removed from the cast before the season even began after clips of her using the N-word were shared online.
In one clip, she was seen saying, “Knock knock n—a,” and in another, she used the slur while playing an arcade game.
She responded to the clips in a statement, saying, “In those videos, I used a racial slur. There is no excuse for it, and I am deeply sorry.”
Sean Reifel Responds To Pennsylvania Mayor Who Slammed Him For Joining The ‘Love Island’ Cast
Another report from The Blast details Sean Reifel’s beef with a Pennsylvania mayor who slammed him for leaving his job as a city cop to join the show.
Mayor William “Willie” Reynolds said he was shocked and disappointed that Reifel prioritized his desire to appear on reality TV over his responsibilities to protect and serve.
“I guess he’s upset. That’s interesting,” Reifel said of Mayor Reynolds’ comments. “I definitely had a sit down with my job and told them exactly where I was going and what was happening, and they asked me to put in for unpaid leave.”
