Talk about a family affair! Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter joined the iconic Jay-Z on stage at Yankee Stadium on July 10, helping him kick off his string of “Reasonable Doubt” 30th anniversary performances. Clips of the two surprise moments quickly made their way online, sending the BeyHive into a frenzy. Queen Bey’s solo marked her first on-stage performance in nearly a year, while Blue Ivy’s piano solo gave fans their first look at the 14-year-old’s skills on the keys—a talent Jay-Z had previously praised.
Beyoncé Joins Husband Jay-Z On Stage For The First Time In Nearly A Year During His Comeback Tour At Yankee Stadium
Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, kicked off his 30th-anniversary show series at Yankee Stadium with the help of his superstar wife, Beyoncé. The “Single Ladies” singer filled in for Mary J. Blige on a rendition of “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” effortlessly gliding across the stage and hitting insane notes in a way only she can.
Beyoncé hit the stage in a black capri pantsuit by Giuseppe di Morabito, which featured shimmering crystal pinstripes. She matched the look with bejeweled heels, diamond jewelry, and sunglasses. For hair, the “RENAISSANCE” hitmaker wore bouncy, blonde waves.
At the end of the song, Jay-Z told the crowd, “Oh, she can sing!” to which Beyoncé replied, “Give it up for my baby!”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s unexpected performance comes nearly a year after the pair hit the stage together during Bey’s “Cowboy Carter” stop in Paris, France. There, the “Tom Ford” rapper performed his verse from his wife’s chart-topping single, “Crazy In Love,” before giving the audience a full performance of “N***as in Paris.”
Jay Z’s performance there was notable for several reasons. One, it was the first time the couple performed together in over seven years. Two, he changed the lyrics to “I just might let you meet B,” a move many took as his way of addressing his standing with rapper Kanye West.
Before that, Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 at FNB Stadium in South Africa in 2018. During the show, they performed tracks from their only joint album, “Everything Is Love,” including “APESH*T,” as well as classics like “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” and “Déjà Vu.”

Later in the concert, Blue Ivy Carter surprised the audience with a solo piano performance of his 1996 single “Feelin’ It.” Blue Ivy Carter, who, by the way, has become a stellar performer in her own right after joining Beyoncé on her last two tours and her Christmas Day halftime performance, finished by acknowledging the crowd and sharing a heartwarming hug with her father.
While the teenager’s solo performance was unexpected, it wasn’t surprising, given that Jay-Z told GQ in March 2026 that his daughter had a special talent.
“She won’t let us get her a teacher. She doesn’t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch. If she hears a song, she’ll be like ‘Play it again,’ and then she’ll teach herself,” he revealed. “That’s just talent. She doesn’t work at that. She worked at this, and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do.”

Those weren’t the only moments from Jay-Z’s “Reasonable Doubt” show that got the audience excited. Other social media clips show Beyoncé giving Jay-Z a haircut in the stands at Yankee Stadium.
The move was symbolic because, according to The Grio, Jay-Z has told fans in the past that cutting his hair is usually a sign that new music is on the way. He grows it out during the creative and recording process and then shapes it up once it’s complete.
While it’s still unclear whether he has a new record on his hard drive, if he releases music, it’ll be his first album in nearly 10 years, since his 2017 project, “4:44.”
Bey Recently Opened Up About Jay-Z’s Hair Journey
Weeks before his show at Yankee Stadium, Beyoncé’s haircare line, Cecred, shared a video of her and Jay-Z. In the documentary-style video, the “Love On Top” singer opens up about her husband’s hair journey.
According to Beyoncé, Jay-Z began growing out his hair to support their daughter and help her embrace her natural hair. “Jay started growing his hair because of Blue,” she said. “He wanted her to see the beauty in her natural hair.”
