After a social media user shared a lengthy message defending Jenna from ongoing speculation about her health, the actress’ younger sibling, Aliyah Ortega, appeared to back up the post. Aliyah responded to it by dropping three exclamation marks in the comments section. 

In the post, the netizen slammed critics who made “assumptions” about the actress’ health and pointed out that the 23-year-old is free to make personal decisions without facing judgment or scrutiny.

“Sometimes the most respectful thing we can do is simply give someone privacy, support them, and let them be,” the statement read, per Us Weekly. The user also pointed out that no one truly knows what Ortega may be dealing with personally and urged people to stop prying into her private affairs.

“Stop concerning yourselves with her personal life and asking intrusive, unnecessary, and random questions. … Just leave Jenna alone and allow her to live her life on her own terms.”

Aliyah’s show of support came just a day after Jenna sparked discussion online following a recent interview where fans noted she looked thinner than usual.

As The Blast reported, the former Disney star was seen in a chat with Esquire Magazine looking different, with her facial features more pronounced and her clavicle more noticeable. She wore a beige dress with thin straps and opted for a subtle makeup look. 

What followed was a string of comments with a few online sleuths questioning the beauty standards in Hollywood while comparing Ortega’s new body with Ariana Grande. 

One commenter wrote, “Now, she’s nowhere near as bad as Ariana Grande or others who have also done this, but it does appear she has gotten a bit skinnier. She’s also gotten paler as well.”

Per The Blast, she admitted feeling stuck and craving a different life experience, especially as a teenager fresh off a children’s show.

Ortega explained that having to prove herself to new directors made Hollywood seem overwhelming, and leaving the industry felt like the most logical choice at the time since she had started high school. 

However, her role as Ellie Alves on the psychological thriller reignited her passion. “I went on that set, and I loved it and had the best time. I thought,

‘Yeah, there’s no way I could let this go,” she shared.
