Wilkinson had an emotional moment with her fanbase as she broke down into tears while detailing her career struggles. The mom of two uploaded a photo on her Instagram stories telling fans she was having a hard day after losing out on a business deal.

“When a client fires you… after all the work you put in,” she wrote in a text box below a selfie of her teary face taken as she seemingly pulled her hair back. “Ya, I’m struggling today guys,” the real estate agent added.

The picture was followed by a two-part video where she gave more context to the situation. Wilkinson started off acknowledging that the world is currently filled with all sorts of struggles before saying, “It’s just… It’s so hard,” as she shed tears.

There’s only so much developing a thick skin can do. Wilkinson shared that her struggles come amid doing everything right, including being “a good person” and “raising her kids right.” Despite seemingly playing everything by the book, finding people to work with her in the industry still proves difficult.

The mom of two could not stop the tears from flowing as she wiped her face with her hands while stating that “getting fired” and “people being rude and mean” were taking a toll on her.

About two hours later, the TV personality made another update where she seemed to be in good spirits, appreciating fans for their care and concern. She expressed gratitude for “prayers, thoughts [and] well wishes” she received from her last post before announcing she was ready to take on the new day.

This recent social media update does not mark the first time Wilkinson has opened up about the challenges of her job to her fans. She got candid last month about the rough patch she walks through as a woman in a space dominated by men.

“Being a woman sometimes surrounded by men is scary; it feels like there’s no room for me a lot of the time, even when I do my part of the job. It’s not enough,” she explained in her post. She also expressed that her passion for the job alone doesn’t cut it, as real estate is more than just buying and selling homes.

“I have to smile like everything is ok when it just isn’t,” the mom of two noted before giving fans an insight as to why she chose to get into the field. Wilkinson explained that she got into real estate thanks to her divorce, previous jobless status, and being alone.

As shared by The Blast, “The Girls Next Door” star admitted that her fear had ignited an uncertainty about quitting or pressing on in her new career.

Inside The Real Estate Agent’s Career Change Journey

Wilkinson previously reflected on her days as a reality TV star, revealing the negative impact it had on her personal life and health. She disclosed that she had a panic attack and was hospitalized as a result. In addition, her mental health also suffered as she was “dying of depression” at the time.

In 2020, the broker took the leap of faith, announcing that she was leaving showbiz and getting into the real estate industry. She disclosed via social media that she had been preparing for the California real estate exam during the COVID-19 lockdown period and had passed on her first attempt.

The Blast reported that Wilkinson, so proud of her achievement, shared the results she received from the Department of Real Estate Licensing and Examinations online.

Four years later, the “Playboy Mansion” star took a break from the job to focus on her mental health and kids, Hank IV and Alijah, whom she shares with her ex-husband Hank Baskett.

The entertainment industry was not the only aspect of Wilkinson’s life that affected her mental health. Her divorce from Baskett after nine years of marriage and two kids sent her to rock bottom.

The “Playboy Mansion” star became depressed from the process and felt like life had lost its meaning. “I didn’t understand what was going on, and all of a sudden, I had to do some intense healing,” she shared.

As reported by The Blast, Wilkinson found her purpose again through the love from her kids and her job in real estate, which opened doors for a new reality show, “Kendra Sells Hollywood,” about her job as a realtor in 2021.

After taking a brief pause in 2024, the mom of two returned to the field more focused on her children, career, and keeping away from men’s drama.
