“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Khloé Kardashian is mourning the death of her late grandmother, Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Campbell, days after the model and etiquette schoolteacher died at the age of 91. Khloé’s heartfelt Instagram post comes days after her sister, Kim Kardashian, and mother, Kris Jenner, also posted about her passing.

“My sweet MJ,” Khloé captioned the carousel of pictures, which showed her with MJ as a child, teenager, and an adult. “Thank you for showing us that life is meant to be celebrated, that laughter is healing, and that love is the greatest legacy we can leave behind. You lived so fully, so gracefully, and so beautifully.”
The “Khloé & Lamar” star went on to say that she was endlessly grateful knowing that her children, True and Tatum, were able to know their great-grandmother. She also expressed gratitude knowing that they were able to experience her hugs, stories, and her “incredible light.”

Khloé, 42, reflected on the many life lessons she learned from MJ, who also appeared on episodes of “KUWTK” and the family’s Hulu reality series, “The Kardashians.”
“You taught us that love never leaves. It lives on in the family you built, the traditions we’ll continue, the stories we’ll tell, and every time we choose joy. Your love will forever be woven into who we are,” she continued.
Khloé finished her post by asking her grandmother to tell her late father, Robert Kardashian, how much the family misses him. “Until we meet again, my sweet MJ! I love you,” she concluded.

Khloé’s sister, Kim, also mourned her grandmother’s death with a carousel of pictures while reflecting on the amazing life she lived.
“My sweet Grandma MJ, my best friend, my gossip buddy, my forever twin…” Kim wrote. “You taught all of us the importance of family, and those values are something we’ll carry with us forever!!!!! You were the woman who showed me what it meant to be a hardworking businesswoman.”
Kim recalled MJ giving her her first job and the lessons she taught her throughout her life, such as “work ethic, strength, and confidence.”
She added, “You always believed in me, championed me, and were my safe place. You truly were the matriarch of our family, and your love is woven into all of us. I know you’re at peace now.”
Kim Kardashian Was Under Fire For Posting A Bikini Lake Pic Directly After Grandmother’s Death
Before her tribute, Kim received backlash from social media users after she posted a slideshow of bikini lake pictures to her Instagram an hour after the news of MJ’s death hit the internet.
“Kim there’s people that are dying,” someone wrote, referring to the viral moment from a “KUWTK” scene, while another person posted, “Didn’t your grandmother just pass? This couldn’t wait [until] the weekend?”
Other users defended the mother of four and ex-wife of Kanye West, sharing that her post was likely pre-scheduled before her family was even aware of the tragic news.
Kim confirmed that by saying, “This post was scheduled a few days ago before we lost MJ, so its timing came right alongside her passing. I’ve been by my mom and grandma’s side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now. We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we’ll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life.”
The Last Text Message Kim Received From MJ
That wasn’t all Kim had to share about her grandmother. On social media, the reality star posted a screenshot of a family group chat in which MJ replied to her daughter, Kris Jenner, who was seen sharing daily Bible verses for encouragement. “Amen,” the 91-year-old said in response to verses from the Book of Psalms.
In Kris’ tribute, the world-famous momager opened up about the heartbreak she was feeling having to say goodbye to her mother. “She taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted,” Kris wrote online.
She finished by thanking her mother for “giving us everything,” including “the greatest childhood [and] … a beautiful, blessed life.”
