Tom Holland reserved special praise for the horror sensation “Obsession,” calling the movie “well made” and its actors “fantastic.”

Fans have since taken to social media to speculate that he could soon star in a horror movie of his own, while others wonder whether he and his longtime partner, Zendaya, might eventually launch their own production company.

Holland also seemingly confirmed long-running rumors that he and Zendaya had gotten married.

Tom Holland Heaps Praise On ‘Obsession’

In a recent interview appearance making the rounds on social media, Tom Holland, alongside his partner Zendaya, opened up about his liking for “Obsession,” sharing glowing praise for the micro-budget horror sensation.

Directed by 26-year-old YouTuber-turned-filmmaker Curry Barker, “Obsession” has shocked the film industry this season by grossing over $305 million globally against a meager $750,000 budget. The movie has also received praise from several Hollywood stakeholders.

Speaking about the film, Holland revealed that he recently watched it in cinemas, and claimed it left everyone at the venue in their feelings.

“I went to watch ‘Obsession’ recently. I went to see it back in London, a full theater,” he said. “People were screaming, crying, laughing… It was exactly what makes going to the movies so special. The movie was so well made, so entertaining. The actors in it are fantastic.”

“Obsession” follows the life of a hopeless romantic, Baron “Bear” Bailey, played by Michael Johnston, who uses a supernatural novelty toy called a “One Wish Willow” to make his crush, Nikki, played by Inde Navarrette, fall in love with him.

However, he soon realizes that some decisions come with a heavy, dark price.

The psychological horror flick premiered on September 5, 2025, at the Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF, where Focus Features acquired the distribution rights for nearly $15 million.

It was theatrically released in the U.S. on May 15 and has since become a massive commercial success.

Several fans took to social media not only to agree with the “Spider-Man” actor but also to speculate that he may soon appear in a horror movie.

“I just watched it today, it was a great movie, honestly, one of my favorites of the year, and I’m not really much of a horror fan,” a Reddit user noted. “Inde was fantastic, and I loved that it is clear that Bear sucked.”

A second fan added that they “Would love to see him in a horror movie of his own,” to which another user replied, “He came close in ‘The Devil All the Time.’”

One supporter seemingly had even bigger dreams for Holland and his wife: “Does anyone else think him and Zendaya might be thinking of starting their own production company? They’ve both been taking more active roles in film production and seem to enjoy having their say in the process. I think I’d be interested to see what that would look like.”

The ‘Spider-Man’ Star Drops Strong Hint About Marriage To Zendaya

Holland and Zendaya’s romance has been a staple on the lips of many fans in recent years. Having captured hearts together in the “Spider-Man” franchise over the years, the actress set tongues wagging after she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.

Many people have suggested that their wedding had already taken place, including Law Roach, Zendaya’s longtime stylist and friend, who claimed in March that the wedding had already happened.

At the time, phony AI images flooded social media showing Holland popping bottles with his supposed bride at Lake Como, yet neither of them spoke up to address it.

Now, in a comprehensive interview with Esquire, the actor seemingly confirmed that they have indeed tied the knot. Addressing the photos, he said that his grandmother saw them and thought she was not invited.

When he was asked if he had to send such messages to any other family members, he said, “No, because they were all there.”

“That’s all you’ll get on that,” he added, refusing to elaborate.

Holland and Zendaya have been notoriously private about their relationship and rarely share a glimpse of their personal goings-on.

However, they often make a point of praising the impact they have on each other’s lives. In his interview with Esquire, for instance, he fawned over the “Euphoria” star’s impact on his peace of mind.

“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else,” Holland said.

He added, “So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
