Heather Graham may not be allowed to spill major spoilers, but she still managed to give fans a glimpse into the glamorous world of “The White Lotus” season four. The actress took to Instagram over the weekend to share snapshots from the South of France, where the hit HBO anthology series is currently filming its highly anticipated next chapter. While keeping details tightly under wraps, Heather Graham hinted she’s working on a mystery project, and fans quickly connected the dots.
Heather Graham Shares Glimpse Of French Filming Adventure For ‘White Lotus’

On Sunday, Graham posted a series of photos showing scenic moments from her travels through the French Riviera. “I went on a French adventure. I’m not supposed to post about the job I was working on… But here are some fun things I can share with you,” the actress wrote.
Her hashtags included St. Tropez and Paris, both of which are among the filming locations tied to “The White Lotus” season four. The new season is currently filming during the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 12 through May 23.
‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Heads To The French Riviera
HBO previously confirmed that season four will unfold across the luxurious French Riviera, with filming taking place in hotspots including Cannes, St. Tropez, Monaco, and Paris. While Paris will reportedly appear in the season, much of the action is expected to center around the picturesque Côte d’Azur.
The lavish hotels serving as this season’s fictional “White Lotus” resorts have also been revealed. Airelles Château de la Messardière will reportedly stand in as the White Lotus du Cap, while the iconic Hôtel Martinez will become the White Lotus Cannes.
The “White Lotus du Cap” name is believed to be a nod to the legendary Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, famously tied to the scandalous romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton while both were married to other people.
Helena Bonham Carter Exits As Laura Dern Joins Cast

Season four has already seen behind-the-scenes shakeups. Helena Bonham Carter was originally slated to play a major role in the upcoming season before abruptly exiting the project and ultimately being replaced by Laura Dern.
In a statement to TMZ, HBO addressed the surprising casting switch. “With filming just underway on season four of The White Lotus, it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set,” the network explained.
“The role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten, and will be recast in the coming weeks,” HBO continued. “HBO, the producers, and Mike White are saddened that they won’t get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon.”
‘White Lotus’ Season 4 Cast Just Got Even Bigger

Alongside Graham and Dern, season four will feature a stacked cast that includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Kumail Nanjiani, Rosie Perez, Chloe Bennet, Chris Messina, Max Greenfield, and Alexander Ludwig.
Most recently, Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella, and Pekka Strang were also added to the ensemble, though details surrounding their roles remain under wraps.
Mike White Reveals What ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Is Really About

As excitement builds around season four, “The White Lotus” creator Mike White is finally teasing what fans can expect, and this time, the spotlight is on fame. Speaking about the upcoming season, White revealed that while earlier installments explored themes like class, sex, and spirituality, the next chapter will tackle celebrity, attention, and the complicated dynamics that come with being in someone else’s shadow.
“It’s a bit about fame, about who has the world’s attention, who is the plus-one, and how that can organize a relationship,” White explained. “Some people are satisfied with the love of just an intimate partner, and some people need the love of strangers and a bigger kind of attention.”
White also admitted the idea for season four came to him while filming “Survivor,” though not necessarily because of the competition itself. “I came up with the concept of the show and the characters while I was there,” he said, before joking, “Shooting ‘Survivor’ was hell.”
Mike White Hints At Social Media Influence In Season 4

The creator reflected on how reality TV and social media have changed the way people present themselves, noting that many contestants seemed to arrive with already-crafted personas tied to online fandoms.
“When you first meet people, there are no phones, there’s no social media. It’s completely unmediated,” White explained. “Then you come back from that experience, and you realize that they have strong social media presences.”
Though he stopped short of confirming social media as the central theme of season four, White admitted it has influenced his thinking. “I don’t know if that’s exactly the theme of the next season of ‘White Lotus,’ but it’s definitely something I’ve thought about a lot, prioritizing likes or the attention of strangers over creating real relationships.”
And, of course, fans can expect another shocking death. White revealed he already knew early on who would meet their fate this season, explaining, “For this upcoming season, it was one of the early thoughts I had.”
