Although she skipped the BET Awards red carpet, Cardi made a memorable entrance once she hit the stage. The Grammy winner traded her signature dark locks for a striking red hairstyle, wearing her hair in voluminous curls that flowed down her shoulders throughout the performance.

Cardi wasted no time commanding the crowd as she launched into a medley of songs from “Am I the Drama?” The performance featured tracks including “Hello,” “Check Please,” “Errtime,” and “Pretty & Petty.”

She also brought plenty of theatrical flair to the stage, making her entrance atop a motorcycle before joining dancers in an elaborate city-inspired set.

At various points during the routine, Cardi danced atop a giant roulette table and showcased her pole-dancing skills, drawing cheers from the audience.

Just days before taking the BET Awards stage, Cardi was focused on a different kind of celebration: her son Wave Set’s preschool graduation.

The rapper appeared emotional as she shared photos from the special occasion on Instagram, proudly posing alongside the 4-year-old, who showed off his blue-and-gold graduation cap and gown. “Proud of my son,” Cardi captioned the post.

Wave, whom she shares with Offset, was also recognized with a Student’s Choice Award during the ceremony and received a certificate in front of family and friends.

The milestone quickly became a family affair, with Cardi joined by her children, including daughter Kulture Kiari and youngest daughter Blossom Belle. In one sweet moment, the Grammy winner embraced Wave as they celebrated his accomplishment with balloons, gifts, and plenty of proud-parent smiles.

While Cardi continues to dominate headlines with her music and fashion choices, she’s also been candid about how much she values being a mother. The rapper welcomed her fourth child, a baby boy, in November 2025 with NFL star Stefon Diggs. Although Cardi has shared glimpses of life with her youngest child, she has not publicly revealed his name.

The couple fueled rumors of a split around the 2026 Super Bowl in February, but it seems the two have since rekindled their romance. Diggs has attended Cardi’s “Little Miss Drama Tour” and one of her after-parties.

Shortly after announcing her fourth pregnancy, Cardi spoke about motherhood during an appearance on Angie Martinez’s IRL Podcast, describing parenting as a responsibility that never takes a break. “Your kids never leave your mind,” she said. “Not for a second. You think about them all day.”

She also called motherhood “really hard” and a “nonstop job,” adding that the challenges exist “whether you have money or not.”

Cardi has also reflected on raising her son Wave, admitting she initially felt nervous about becoming a boy mom.

“I was soo happy when I found I was having a baby then all of a sudden I got so scared when I found out I was having a boy, I’m such a girly girl,” she wrote on Instagram while celebrating one of Wave’s birthdays. “You make it easy tho getting into that sporty mom bag … I’ll always have your back, front and sides.”
