The stars of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” traded their signature Orange County glam for feathers, rhinestones, and the high-energy world of Las Vegas showgirls while filming a scene at Showgirl Bootcamp Experience. 

The reality stars got an up-close look at the iconic Vegas tradition, stepping into the showgirl experience and giving viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at one of Sin City’s most uniquely glamorous attractions. 

Showgirl Bootcamp Experience will be featured on Thursday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of OC” when the cast takes on Vegas during a girls’ trip. The Blast sat down with Stacy Blind, owner, producer, and co-creator of Showgirl Bootcamp Experience, and Shelley Bruner, COO, to discuss a little about the “RHOC” episode, the business, and what people can expect from booking an experience there.

Stacy retired from the stage about 9 years ago. One of her clients, who was a personal trainer, said they wanted to do what they saw her doing in a rehearsal, so she created a workshop for them to learn how the warmups went and what the stretching sequence was like.

“And then they got a chance to put on the costumes,” she told The Blast. “And it was so much fun the first time we did it and then they requested it again. Slowly my business partner and I started to hone it in and refine it for the average person so that it was something really fun. We took the work out and kept all the glam.”

Showgirl Bootcamp Will Be Featured On This Week’s Episode Of ‘RHOC’

Showgirl Bootcamp often works and collaborates with other women-run businesses in Las Vegas, with one being Girls’ Night Out. This is how they got connected with “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for the opportunity to be part of an episode this season. Shelley told The Blast that while Showgirl Bootcamp has been featured in Vogue and the Associated Press in the past, being on “RHOC” is the business’ first big national television spot.

“We had so much fun. Some of the ladies chose to have the bigger costumes. Sometimes, if they’re really brave, guests will want to do the full length costume with the heels and fishnets, like the Housewives did,” Stacy said. “But most women come in and we give them a Showgirl Bootcamp t-shirt, they come in leggings and heels with their hair pulled back and in base makeup, and then we doll them up from there so there’s no feeling insecure or worrying about what’s hanging out or something doesn’t fit right.” 

Knowing that fights and conflict can be part of any episode of a “Real Housewives” franchise, we had to ask if there were any little scuffles between the girls. Stacy said, “even if they were going to fight about something, there’s no time.” 

“There is no room for any negativity at all when it’s lights, camera, action and the spotlight hits and it’s your time to perform,” she added.

The Blast Got To Experience What The ‘Housewives’ Did At Showgirl Bootcamp

When someone offers to help you transform into a showgirl, you absolutely go with it! And I did just that! When Stacy said it’s best to experience it to understand how the “housewives” felt during their time at Showgirl Bootcamp, I couldn’t disagree. The day before the “RHOC” episode was set to air, I became a showgirl for the plot!

I had the opportunity to work with two of the most amazing women — Victoria and Kerry. Between the two of them, they glammed me up with makeup and all the showgirl props necessary to transform me into a Vegas showgirl.

The process from start to finish was so much fun. And let me tell you…being a showgirl is a tough job! The headpiece is heavier than it looks, and it takes some serious concentration to make sure it stays put and doesn’t wobble off. Showgirls make it look so easy, but it’s really hard work, and they deserve all the credit in the world for doing their job flawlessly with smiles on their faces.

I can only imagine how much fun the girls of Orange County had while transforming into Vegas showgirls after experiencing this myself. Don’t forget to catch Showgirl Bootcamp on tonight’s (Thursday, Aug. 13) episode of “RHOC.”
