Fitness became particularly important during the pandemic. Teaa says she had gained around 40 pounds during her first few years at college before beginning to work out during COVID. Longtime followers have subsequently watched her physique and relationship with fitness change. For Teaa, the gym has become more than an occasional social media theme. It is now one of the most recognizable parts of her online identity.

Dance has played a role too. She gained significant attention on TikTok around 2020 through dance videos and also taught herself pole dancing, initially sharing her progress as she learned new techniques.

She says her monthly income has recently averaged around $80,000, while her highest month reached approximately $130,000. The contrast is particularly significant because Teaa says she grew up in a low-income family.

Those early experiences have left her with habits she has not entirely abandoned. “I would say a little bit of both,” she told The Blast when asked whether she is frugal or enjoys spending. “I grew up poor and with a low-income family, so those frugal habits have stayed with me for a long time.”

One major purchase, however, has changed things. Teaa recently bought a house in Las Vegas. She jokes that the property has been consuming a significant chunk of her spending, and when work needs doing, she is happy to leave it to professionals rather than becoming a DIY enthusiast herself. The purchase also represents an interesting shift in her relationship with her parents.

Rebuilding Her Relationship With Her Parents

Teaa has previously spoken publicly about falling out with her parents over her career, but says they have since reconciled. Today, she describes their approach to her work as closer to “don’t ask, don’t tell.” They know how she earns her living and know that the career they once strongly disliked helped her purchase her home.

The relationship has evolved in other ways too. For Christmas, Teaa gifted her parents a trip to Japan. “They know I’m smart with my money,” she said. “They know that the business I made was really successful.”
It is a quieter resolution than a dramatic change of heart. Teaa and her parents do not need to agree on every part of her life to have a relationship.
