Oasis has announced new dates for its reunion tour, confirming that the Britpop band will continue performing next year.

The group, led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, remained estranged for 15 years after the siblings got into a nasty fight at a festival near Paris.

While some fans have taken to social media to share their excitement about the group’s return to the road, others have speculated that the brothers have not truly mended fences and are only doing it for the money.

Following the “unprecedented demand” for their reunion run, Oasis has announced a sweeping 2027 stadium tour that will see brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher take the stage together across Europe, North America and the UK.

The tour kicks off in May next year with a five-night residency at Glasgow’s Celtic Park before moving into an 11-night takeover of Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June. The band will continue across several major European cities throughout July before launching the North American leg in August.

The run culminates with a return to Knebworth House in the UK in September, marking more than 30 years since their legendary two-night stand in August 1996.

“After a period of reflection, ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people,” the band announced in a statement on X. “Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.”

Oasis Fans React to New Tour Dates

Fans are excited about the chance to see the brothers perform live again, but some have raised eyebrows over the nature of their relationship.

“Happy that they will play more dates next year,” a fan wrote on Reddit, while another said, “Work is gonna be a f-cking nightmare next June.”

Some complained about what they described as expensive tickets, with one writing, “Ticket prices are an absolute p-sstake. No dynamic pricing allowed, so set the price to the highest amount. What a joke.”

Others, however, speculated that bad blood may still exist between the brothers and that they are only returning to the stage because they need money.

“My conspiracy theory is they are still not reconciled but need money,” one user wrote.

Another critic added, “Who wants to see a band like this in a stadium? Stadium shows are only for huge bands with massive visual shows. Not 2 blokes on a stage.”

Oasis Broke Up After Liam and Noel Gallagher’s 2009 Fight

Indeed, the brothers returned to the stage after 15 years of estrangement following a fight in August 2009 at the Rock en Seine festival near Paris.

The incident led to the cancellation of several shows and the group’s breakup. Noel later announced his departure in a now-deleted note on the band’s website.

“It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight,” he wrote, per Pitchfork. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

However, the brothers announced their reunion in August 2024 and have since headlined a couple of shows together.

Liam and Noel Gallagher Offered Different Explanations for Oasis’ Split

In the years that followed, rumors surfaced about what caused the split, including a disagreement over Liam promoting his designer brand to fans while they were on tour.

However, Liam offered a different perspective in a 2011 interview with The Guardian, saying they were both to blame for the group’s split.

“Me and [my brother] were to blame for the split of Oasis,” the singer told the outlet.

“Not me. Not him. And it certainly wasn’t these guys,” he added, referring to the remaining band members.

Oasis Introduces Ballot System for 2027 Tour Tickets

The Oasis Live ’25 tour was a massive hit, with the band performing for more than four months across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and South America. The group closed the run before 600,000 fans in São Paulo, Brazil.

For the upcoming tour, Oasis revealed several rules fans must follow for a chance to attend its headline performances next year.

To prevent the massive ticketing chaos seen during previous editions, organizers are bypassing standard general sales altogether, as announced in a post on X.

Fans must register through the band’s official website by Thursday, September 17, at 4 p.m. BST to enter a ballot system.

Randomly selected applicants will receive non-transferable codes granting access to staggered purchase windows between September 25 and 27.
