The trio later met for a drink, all dressed in black, creating the impression that a complicated relationship could be at the center of the story.
The video was also unveiled during Thursday’s episode of “CBS Mornings,” and co-anchor Vladimir Duthiers suggested Swift may have planted clues long ago.
He noted that Johnson’s appearance in the video could connect back to the 2026 Emmy Awards, where the “Love Story” singer referenced “north or south,” a remark some fans now believe was a subtle nod to Dakota Johnson before the casting was officially revealed.

“About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history,” the 35-year-old wrote.
Swift explained that the project came together after she reunited with her longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden.
In her words, “I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max [Martin] and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album.”
That celebration soon turned into another creative chapter. Swift announced that “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore” will feature four additional songs, “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon,” and “Cleveland!,” with the expanded album arriving on September 25.
