Mikayla explained that she was the only cast member who chose to leave because of “MANY reasons.” She also pointed to the recent developments surrounding the show as another reason she remains firm.

The mother of four said she had repeatedly taken her concerns to the “right people” and went out of her way to address them. She added that there were “so many things wrong with this situation” because of one person’s actions and how everything was handled afterward. She acknowledged that she cannot predict what will happen in the future. 

Still, she said her decision remains unchanged “right now,” leaving open the possibility that circumstances could eventually look different. Mikayla also called for broader changes within the situation. She said, “I think we can collectively agree that a lot of changes need to be made,” as seen on her Instagram story.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Exit Comes After A Major Cast Fallout

Taylor announced that she was leaving “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” after appearing on the show since its first season in 2024. Her departure came amid intense cast conflict and the fallout from her reported domestic violence case involving ex-husband Dakota Mortensen.

She said she was grateful to the networks that supported her and gave her the opportunity to return. However, Taylor said, “I don’t desire to move forward like this.” She explained that she had previously been willing to leave so the other women could continue with less stress.

Mikayla had already told viewers that she would not film the sixth season if Taylor returned to the series. “The ONLY reason I’m leaving the show is because I was told a certain person was coming back,” Mikayla said online.

She explained that she had warned production before agreeing to film. She said that she would not participate if that person returned. Mikayla said she initially agreed to film because Taylor was not part of the production.

Once production allowed Taylor to return, Mikayla reportedly said she immediately changed course. She recalled telling production, “Great, then I will not be participating, god bless and goodbye.” Mikayla said she had not filmed a day since making that decision, showing how firmly she connected her exit to the change.
